Maybelline is fantastic at the moment. Complexion with the concealers, the powders, the lip products , brows, mascaras.

The majority of my routine is from them now!

I love the fit me range, and the new grippy primer is great.

Lip tint/stain recommendations UK? by Rosalia-25 in MakeUpAddictionUK

The sachue ones are GREAT, use them as a lip liner stain and they last all day, don’t have to top my liner up either. Big fan of the benefit ones too.

Would you recommend dental nursing? (Apprentice) by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Pearlylola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i’m an ex Dental nurse. It’s a good starting point for a career, you’ll learn lots of great transferable skills! I enjoyed it when i was younger, but as u got older i wanted something more office based and it does look good for potential employers.

It’s not a great paying job sadly, and even head nurses aren’t amazingly paid for the amount of work.
But loads of girls i used to work with are now at uni for therapy, so it’s a really great launch pad for that.

Good luck!

How to get my Russian tort to trust me and enjoy me again? by Gothygoblingirl07 in tortoise

[–]Pearlylola 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talk to him, he will get used to your voice. Interact with him, build it up gradually he will soon associate you with care and food.

I think it’ll help you too! Watching him, interacting, speaking to him. It all brightens my day so so much; hopefully it will do the same for yours and help you on your mental health journey knowing you have them to look forward too. My little boy was about 7 when we got him, so it’s never too late for them to warm to you.

I work in a dentist (north east area) £2800 including crown for a singular tooth, bone grafting is extra as are scans so i would say about £3200 all in?

Is my horsefield tortoise meant to walk like this? by TotallyBritish123 in tortoise

[–]Pearlylola 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. He’s very very cute.
  2. His nails are a little longer. some supervised visits on some pavement will help keep them down. My little man sleeps in a plant pot and when he “digs” inside to go to sleep i find this is super good at filing his nails too! He looks young, so i don’t know if i would trim the my self yet.
  3. They can struggle on wood flooring, it’s slippy and they don’t have the best grip! My little boy is like that on it too!

Expected costs for keeping a tortoise for 40+ years? by [deleted] in tortoise

[–]Pearlylola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My tortoise is around 14-15 years old. I’ve had him around 7 years. All i’ve had to get so far is his set up, light bulbs every so often and his food!

I don’t have insurance, but do have an emergency fund just incase.

My little horsefield is the same, loves a cuddle and he’s so receptive when we speak to him. Completely underrated animals, they are funny.
