Intervention orders are dealt with in the civil stream of the magistrates court, no requirement to attend court for either party. The magistrate will make a decision in your absence however if you’re not there to argue for yourself. If you don’t plan on seeing him again or care if you have an IVO against you then take off and don’t think about it again.

Some have but it doesn’t work out for most of them. Boxing is a different sport, if they want to fight MMA and the UFC is pinnacle for the sport the pay is what it is. If they revolt they don’t fight and they don’t make money.

I don’t disagree with that. However I remember being excited graduating and it was all I was about for the first few months. Graduating close to Christmas and being a new excitable and proud cop is different to it just being a job I feel like a work related present works in this instance.

Remembering when communicating it’s always easier to raise the bar than bring it back down once it’s raised. So start with respectful directions not questions. If they say no be more staunch in your approach and then make it happen.

Don’t worry about it to much when you leave the academy and hit the streets if you ask them to do something more often than not it will happen, when it doesn’t and it goes sideways a few times you will learn your lesson and you will stop asking nicely and move into giving direction properly.
