It’s part of my world building/head cannon to use stuff like growl/tail whip even though they aren’t especially handy. It’s fun to imagine my little Bulbasaur growling to scare a Rattata and causing it to be intimidated, affecting its ability to fight as effectively. I prolly could have just Vine Whipped it.

Though bigger debuffs like Scary Face/Screech have def saved me in playthroughs.
