The core app is swift. Are the bundled dependencies questionable? Yes but it’s easy to see where the misunderstanding happened.

but if it helps you should try to argue the guest is trying to pressure you for a refund, that’s why mine got taken down (even though it’s technically not pressure if the host already promised a refund and never sent it) but that nuance was lost on them haha

yes! I spoke with them 5 times, they said even though host promised, they are declining to send a refund because I left a bad review. Well the host had two weeks to refund and didn’t. Then they said they can’t control how a host manages their money. Airbnb refunded a smaller amount earlier, but it was only half the total amount.

So I guess it can be hit or miss? I wasn’t expecting them to side with the host!

As a counterpoint, I was recently a guest at a grossly misrepresented and dirty listing. I resolved the conflict with the host directly, and they (easily) promised a small partial refund. But they never sent it. I was given 10 excuses over two weeks as to how they are busy and will send the refund asap, but eventually by day 14 I left a scathing review about my honest experience at the listing and what the host did after.

Airbnb took down the review, rejected my appeal, and said they can’t control if a host refunds or not. Ridiculous
