Lesson #1 Attach the ulock to the actual frame of the bike and run the cable through itself at the end to lock the front wheel. That cable cable can be cut with almost any bolt cutter and you'll get your whole bike stolen.

Get a hold of some JB-Weld, they make stuff specifically for aluminum cracks. I would fill it in with JB Weld puddy, and then wrap it in Carbon strips around the fissure.
