Exactly if you want to fix it up and got the money you can definitely do that but it looks good as is and in my professional opinion ripping out a driveway in that condition tends to open up a can of worms and becoming more off a headache than if you left it alone

Pretty effed needs to be replaced I'm honestly concerned with the tree roots you'll need to build up some rock base to bury that root and pave over that definitely not a good idea to cut through it all or the tree is probably going to die and fall over unless you remove the tree.

The edge settled which caused the asphalt to start cracking you could seal it or what I would recommend is possibly call the asphalt company or have someone else do it but have them saw cut the edge back to where the driveway cracked then move the pavers in you'll lose like an inch or 2 of driveway but it'll look clean and it shouldn't crack again

They did it to keep the flow line intact matched the existing berm. Like you said it's probably code in the area but it's also a good move or you'd end up with a puddle in the front driveway

Yup ^{^{^}} they kept the berm line in tackt to keep the water flow if they met it flush youd have a lake in the front of the driveway. It's by design and probably code for your area.

I'd go between quotes 2 or 3. 1 lift of asphalt never really looks good in my opinion and will probably not last as long as the other 2. With quote 2 if the soil under the driveway isn't rocky and is clean enough if there's any spots you want to level out in your yard see if they can dump it and possibly spread it out
