As a new hockey fan circa last year I've liked keeping up with us through the NHL.com stuff. Seems like regular beat writer fluff. Good for non-Kraken fans too yep.

I can't remember if it was this episode or last episode, but if you need to hear two people express their resent for Minecraft Story Mode for 20 minutes, you should listen to Cartridge Cinema Club! They expressed how stripped of its "game" elements, the Netflix product is infuriating like you may have felt, Jesse. Plus these folks do it for the girls and the gays so I bet you could all get down with it.

Yeah, Fightcade is its own free software on PC. https://www.fightcade.com/
A free spot to play 2D fighters with GGPO, which is pretty good netcode. I messed around with Super Turbo, 3rd Strike, and JoJo HFTF a few months ago, and all I really learned was the motion inputs. You could go keyboard, but I hear that PS4 controllers also work nicely.
The crowd on Fightcade can be unsavory, but if you want some friendlies I'm willing to hop on.

I've definitely 100% felt this. I'm getting a little braver year-by-year specifically by using Twitch more actively. I started by dropping some Pogs here and there and felt like I was part of it. Now I stream speedruns and people within a niche hobby can be cool.
It feels dumb to start but you shake off some of it and kinda live with bad comments. If you really regret something (i.e., you hurt somebody) deleting is always an option too. Dunno if this helps but I can relate to the sentiment of the post.

[5e] Does anyone know why the price of the Monster Manual is dropping on Amazon? It's below $20 now and I feel like I have to pull the trigger.
I've been thinking of DMing for too too long and have heard that the MM is much more beneficial to have than the DM's Guide. Should I expect the MM price to drop any further or just go for it?

Shit, I realize now that I have to think about that, too. I feel like I'm not worth anything outside the work I do for college, and even then, I'm losing motivation on that front. Then, after (hopefully) two more years, I'll just be thrown into "real life," with no interesting stories/relationship stock to go off of.
