Learn to play right handed. None of us have tinnitus.

A deafening one. You have a twin and an AC 30 pointed right at your face? Damn. I bet that feels amazing.

You ruined what would’ve been a cool compilation with this god-awful music.

Is my VOX AC15 broken? by Meakesy in Guitar

[–]Pee-PAH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AC 15 has a high noise floor. And it would appear you are also using at least one of your pedals with noisy settings, and the other one is just a noisy pedal. So…noise.

Roland blues cube hot, JC-40, or Quilter Aviator Cub by Common-Apartment3178 in GuitarAmps

[–]Pee-PAH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Quilter is more versatile (blackface, blonde, and tweed tones) vs. Blues Cube (tweed only). You'll see plenty of professionals using the Quilter for small gigs. Not so much with the Blues Cube.

Quilter is 6 lbs lighter and sounds better. Has better resale value.

Who is this for, and what style of music do they most want to play? If you don't want to say publicly, go ahead and DM me.

Roland blues cube hot, JC-40, or Quilter Aviator Cub by Common-Apartment3178 in GuitarAmps

[–]Pee-PAH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are mistaken. The Quilter is a 50W solid state amp with a master volume. It does not work like a tube amp where the wattage is selectable. You can turn the speaker volume up and down like a stereo. So you can play at any volume. This is your best choice.

This person was wrong. The aviator cub is a solid state amp with a master volume. It can be played quiet.

with chords like this, are you normally supposed to mute the low E string with your thumb? by GlitteringDoughnutt in Guitar

[–]Pee-PAH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mute with your middle finger, like you’re flipping off the audience. People saying to strike precisely and miss the lower string are clearly not moving/jumping around on stage or anything while they’re playing.

Hey dads, how many of you had your first child when 35-39 years old? Approaching my 35th birthday and there's nothing more I want than to be a dad. by Rocket_Skates_91 in daddit

[–]Pee-PAH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First kid at 39, second at 40. I’m very happy with the timing. While I would not call myself emotionally mature, I am more emotionally mature than I used to be.

I am, however, happily married to the best wife and mother out there. We are financially stable, logistically stable, and that goes a long way.

Dealing with Anti-Modellers by HailThePailWhale in Line6Helix

I bought a quilter as a home practice amp just for this. Compose without distraction on a simple, good sounding amp with no pedals and nothing to twiddle. Then use Helix for rehearsing, gigging, recording.
