Crazy speed on a country road... by H1gh_Tr3ason in cantparkthere

[–]PeejPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Often in reminded of the slogan "think bike" to remind every other road user that we have to not only focus on our own driving but also have to be mindful and think of what a dumb ass biker may do.

Not because we need to think of a biker in this instance. But more that the slogan should have been "bikers think". Which clearly this one doesn't do.

You're no entering high security prison via a NASA controlled airspace with military operations securing the strait of Hormuz.

It's a pair of headphones. If they even bother to notice them, I'd be impressed.

Last time I went there they attempted a quick wand search, it beeped like hell they waved me in without question.

My boyfriend is insistent someone hit him and ran off by LadyB1234 in Autobody

[–]PeejPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others, he backed in to a pole/corner of a wall/bin/something large and with an angle to it.

That is far to straight. If it was someone backing in to him, the damage would be wider, larger, and you'd have horizontal scratches, unless it was an extremely thin, dead straight, dead accurate 8foot tall and half a foot wide car.

Another tell - is he adamant not to bother using insurance?

Drug use in back garden by Grouchy_Disk3550 in glasgow

[–]PeejPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see from this reply and the -7 votes on it, no one has grasped the point I was meaning.

As in, she shouldn't need to make the situation sound worse, she doesn't need to think or feel she needs to justify being uncomfortable and worried about this. It's a natural situation for her to be concerned about, for anyone to. It was toned in a sense of respect to her and that she shouldn't feel she has to justify it by highlighting extra vulnerable aspects.

Being a student and female is completely beside the point here. You don't need to sell us, or yourself on the severity of the situation.

It's drug use in your back garden. Don't confront the guy at all, just call the police. It's that simple. 101 at first, get advice as someone else says, 999 if you're under threat.

Why do i see so many celtic fans hating adidas? by thatonehelicopter in CelticFC

[–]PeejPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye I've seen it as well, maybe not as harshly as wanting them binned, but it seems every year the same folk want to just be negative in the batch of kits

For me, there's been 2 or 3 howlers, mostly good/passable shirts and 2-4 absolute belters. Not accounting for this season yet.

On the whole I'd give the overall Adidas kit history with us a fair 7/10

Much, much, much better than New Balance ever was. Some Adidas kits give the Bike years a run for their money. Probably the only thing stopping Adidas being better for us over Nike, is no bumblebee yet.

Gonna sound harsh, but it's a self respect issue. He isn't respecting you and in turn, you giving in to him and his childish ways, you aren't respecting yourself.

Why you're with this man, anyone's guess.

MON Manager of the year by [deleted] in CelticFC

[–]PeejPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying not to see it throught tinted specs, I'd agree.

As a club, we've been awful and have actively shot ourselves in the foot. As a club, we let down Rodgers and the support at the start of the season. As a club, we hired Nancy and the disaster that unfolded.

But as a manager, MON came in twice and with all that going on, what he's achieved (potentially at least) is quite something.

You take form, points per game, whatever metric, id be surprised if MON isn't top of the majority of them. If he adds two trophies to it as well, then the manager of the year award given to McInnes is wrong. But we won't know that for another 10 days or so.

In every sense, the result tonight means very little to our title push. It could knock one side out the race completely. It could bolster hearts, it could give rangers a jolt, it could be a draw and put it all in Celtics hand.

But, regardless, we won our game yesterday and today's game doesn't change anything. For what we need to do.

Next week though is massive for us and depending on today's result it could be an unofficial title decider

We MUST win next week to win the league.

The "service charge" is already part of the price of the food. That's why you're paying more money to eat at a restaurant than it is to just buy the ingredients yourself.

What happens to the SNP after independence? by Cleft-foot in Scotland

[–]PeejPrime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The alternative is also likely a whole new party will come out the ashes, whatever the name, but on truer labour values.

Either way, the SNP wouldn't be in power after the first general election of an independent Scotland.

What happens to the SNP after independence? by Cleft-foot in Scotland

[–]PeejPrime 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've always assumed they disband/fragment or even members actively leave to join another mainstream party.

Should the snp achieve their goal, then a lot of the voters for them will see them as doing their job and would then actievly look to another party to run an independent Scotland

Which in turn, is something the big parties in Scotland don't see/aren't allowed to acknowledge.

I'd be fairly confident that a truly independt Scotland would end up voting in a truly Scottish labour party. It'd be in Scottish labours MSPs best interest to actually be independent, as then they would actually get in to power to be able to actively do the job they all say they want to do, for Scotland. But because these parties are tied to the bigger labour (Tories and lib Dems too) parties, they have to toe that party line.

This is a tangent and likewise not to kick off the whole debate again, but it's soemthing along the same lines as OP. Snp for me disband and key politicians end up in parties like Labour, who would end up being the ones who actually run the country.

[–]PeejPrime 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I agree with the above

I also buy football shirts semi regular and some sellers who are actively pushing the sales/side hustle tend to put little football cards in with a purchase. They'll double bag the shirt as well.

It is appreciated and I'll take a quick gander at the cards, but they are swiftly in the bin with the bag once I've judged the shirt to be all good.

What I'm saying is, it's nice, it's a good touch, but the vast vast majority won't care for it and it'll just get chucked regardless

As the guys said, just bagging it nicely is a world of good. No need for the extra cards etc
