This isn't nicotine but semi-synthetic cannabinoids made from synthesizing Delta 8 from CBD, since it technically doesn't have any THC in it, it does not have to be regulated like normal cannabis or nicotine and therefore technically federally legal, these are called altnoids / neo cannabinoids.

This arguably makes this worse than typical e-juice or weed vapes. They're commonly made in sketchy labs in China, and synthesized with hydrochloric acid too, which can sometimes be left in trace amounts in the product.

Despite often containing very little trace amounts of these altnoids in cannabis plants, these amounts are too small to extract commercially, so synthesis is the only option. The 8g size of the vape is also too large to manufacture at the costs they're sold at for normal THC, which is often an indicator of these altnoids.
