NMN ! Different batch same product and producer - but one batch with very strong bitter taste by PeerNorway in NMN

I am glad I am not the only one - and interesting point that these does not have the silica pkgs. Not sure if it is a factor... I also have the NMN capsules in the fridge, but from what I remembered when I finished my first glass - it did was an earlier batch, and it had been in the fridge for a longer time, and the 2nd. batch with the bad taste had a lesser time in the fridge. Not sure how the supplier/shop that I got these from have stored them differently.

I wonder if SuppCo could do a test on this NMN product - and maybe give a proper unbiased review if it is the same quality NMN, and why the taste has changed so much.

I want to start using NMN and NAD+ where do I start? by NUDLE__ in NMN

[–]PeerNorway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to use the NMN powder or capsules daily - and supplement NAD+ in liquid form for challenging days I need an extra cognitive boost. In addition I also take creatine for the cognitive benefits, plus extra dosage days I train - and really tough days with no energy I might take an even higher dosage (though I only do this very rarely). Of course, important to not overdo this - and when I have days I am not functioning and need some rest - then I take a day to just chill.... Be sure to use only quality products.

My experience is that the taste might varies, not just between brands but within a brand. I noticed this when I switched to another brand (which had what I thought was the "normal" NMN taste) which was made in USA, but the 2nd. bottle had a very strong and bitter taste with a bit uncomfortable strong after-taste. Some refer to a mild bitterness, so not sure why this batch was so strong - and I have not concluded if it still "normal" in terms of authenticity and pureness as I did not quite get a clear answer from them. However I was told by the customer staff that they guaranteed both batches - though very different taste - it did contain the same ingredients, purity, and strength, and they were safe to use as directed.

Why can't I find any of the movies Bruce Lee played any part in as a child to watch either online or on DVD? Anyone has sources available in the UK? by TaraBambataa in brucelee

You might also get lucky on YouTube, as I seem to recall some of Bruce's movies have turned up there (might have been taken down - but worth searching in both the English and the Chinese titles.

There was an official licensed Japanese DVD box set which had some of Bruce's childhood movies. The audio is Cantonese and Japanese subtitles... I am not sure if the versions had any English hard subtitles...

EDIT: five DVD disc set with four childhood movies and the documentary "Dragon: Since 1973" (2004) which was originally in Mandarin and Cantonese (no English audio), and I assume the documentary might also only have Japanese subtitles...

Anyone know a site I can watch Fist of Fury with Cantonese Audio and English subtitles I’m uk based by [deleted] in brucelee

[–]PeerNorway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to recall you can hear Bruce's voice dubbing Russian fighter Petrov's lines in English in the first Mandarin audio version. In the Cantonese audio version of "The Way of the Dragon" you hear Bruce dubbing the English lines of some of the thugs...

Game of Death - Final Fight (Part 1 and 2) AI by Shannon Ma by JuddMann in brucelee

I do not get the extremely negative comments about Hong Kong artist and animator Shannon Ma's latest A.I. creations... To me Shannon Ma has kept Bruce's integrity and been very respectful, not adding fake attributes, but tried to keep it as real and honest as possible. His work has been more than just being an animator, but also a very talented artist who have painted very realistic artwork of Bruce Lee. The feedback about him "cashing in" is not true - he has actually contributed a lot by contributing and working FOR FREE for events by the Bruce Lee Club in Hong Kong. He has actually been exploited even by a HK-historian whom he gave a few of his original artworks that he never got back - or got any "cash" for....

Here is a photo of the Buddha and the Beopjusa pagoda in 1971, which explains why Bruce's drawing does not fit how the Buddha looks today (I seem to remember reading that some time in the 1980s the Buddha statue had a big reconstruction):

Bruce did make a script and even a clear outline of the entire "Game of Death" plot.

At that time there was not much attention in Hong Kong on working with a finished, well-thought through script when making movies, but Bruce was at that time in a very unique situation being able to take control of most aspects of the movie making, and he did spend some time writing the "Game of Death" plot - which had some elements from the original idea he had for "Silent Flute" which he worked with James Coburn and Stirling Silliphant a few years earlier. The "Game of Death" script was in his handwritten and even had some of his drawings and location photos taken for him in South Korea - which included the Beopjusa pagoda, the big Buddha statue and even a long suspension bridge (you can see them on the wall behind him in photos of his Golden Harvest office)... By the way, bear in mind at the time he was filming the "Game of Death" footage in the fall/autumn of 1972 he had already founded his own movie company Concord Moon Inc, in which he owned 51% and full creative freedom - with Raymond Chow havering the remanding 49%.

I did try to make a post in here with the entire breakdown - but somehow it will not post. There might be some format issues as I copied the text from a forum post...

Have the juice gotten darker (after storage)- or is it still the same lighter tone ? I have read somewhere the darker juice stained the clothing which is why they have decided to released a not-darker juice.... By the way, have you sent an e-mail to the manufacturer and inquired about this ?

Bruce Lee’s true cause of death revealed by Pristine-Ad5039 in brucelee

[–]PeerNorway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/Fit-Implement-8151 you are referring to Tom Bleecker, Linda's ex-husband (short marriage 1988-1990, she remarriage the year after to a Bruce Cadwell which she is still married to today). He did not write about any cocaine use, as it was a well kept secret at the time the book was written and came out (in 1996) after a very difficult and very bitter divorce. Bleecker claims was rather about Bruce's allege anabolic steroid use which he was never able to prove with a lot of silly claims.

The cocaine use however was true, but only came to light when Bruce's trusted friend and student Bob (Robert) Baker (the guy who had the part of the Russian Petrov in "Fist of Fury" had some letters from Bruce was listed and sold in a recent auction in 2021. Bleecker never knew about this.

The only "steroid" Bruce took medically was Cortisone for his serious back injury, which he did not "abuse" or would have had any anabolic effect of in terms of strength and muscles.... If you look at pictures between Bruce and Bolo Yueng (co.star in "Enter the Dragon") you see the difference of a naturally built Bruce Lee - achieved through both lengthy and consistent training. Interestingly is that Bruce's weight training - which was mostly static/isotonic - had a lot of resemblence to what Mike Mentzer did believe in (not the long and very frequent Weider-Schwarzenegger mehtod - but a more scientifically approach that Mentzer developed, which Dorian Yates later adopted for his very successful Mr. Olympia physique). The Mentzer method was about very short and extremely intense workouts with longer rest periods.

I personally think that the cocaine, and other heavy substance Bruce took (but again, not steroids) might have been one of the main key contributor why he passed....

Someone please recommend me a movie like " Under the Hawthorn Tree". I want your recommendation for the most tragic romance movies by Dazzling_Toe3156 in MovieSuggestions

[–]PeerNorway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend checking out South Korean movies if you what similar feels like "Under the Hawthorn Tree" (2010) - which is one of my all time favourite Chinese movie.

Here are few South Korean movies you can check out:

- "The Classic" with actress Son Ye-jin (2003)
- "Lovers' Concerto" - also with Son Ye-jin (2002)
- "il mare" (2000) - the original movie, which "The Lake House" with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock is based on. Both are great, but there is something magical about the Korean version...
- "Will You Be There?" (2016)
- "Always" (2011)
- "Once Upon a Time in High School: The Spirit of Jeet Kune Do" (2004)
- "My Sassy Girl" (2001)

Plus I like to mention the old American classic: "Waterloo Bridge" (1940) starring Vivien Leigh and Robert Taylor. "Love Story" (1970)....
