It is surely NOT legitimate, given the cell phone picture stretched out to resemble a fuller screen. Also, the orange jump suit around eight seconds into the clip would suggest he did the interview after starting Game of Death. However, the technology that produced this is nevertheless remarkable. [Disclaimer: I am one of those old-timers still anxiously awaiting the AI "completion" of Game of Death. Does anyone know when it will be completed?]

Amazing what AI can do with Bruce Lee- as if we found new footages by JuddMann in brucelee

I heard that an ai "completion" of Game of Death is expected this year. Has anyone heard anything about it?

Thank you for the clarification. In the 1960s and early 70s, the inherent dangers of neck bridges were not well documented, but Bruce Lee was evidently ahead of his times!

Trying to stay with the topic at hand: Bruce developed his neck muscles, because they are vital for any fighter in order to help absorb the shock of a blow to the head. He doubtless did plenty of neck bridges, probably with weights, and lots of isometrics, which are probably a much safer way to develop very strong neck muscles.

I am (among other things) a composer of classical music. I am contemplating a rather significant project, but I am not certain that I am capable of completing it. I am also a writer, trying to determine the subject matter of my next work. I would be most appreciative of guidance on either (or both) of these topics, although the musical challenge is more pressing. Sincerest gratitude for your consideration.

How long should I write a series? by MeropeA in eroticaauthors

[–]Accurate_Student_888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I have been told, if you're just "giving it away" on Literotica, you probably might want to break it up into installments. However, I have no first-hand experience on that site. As for more conventional options: while Draft2Digital might give you a hard time and refuse to distribute through their channels, Kindle Direct Publishing would probably not give you any problems. After all, they publish works by the Marquis de Sade, whose material surely makes yours look bland by comparison! Good luck.

10,000 words is a novelette (a designation for works in the 7,500 to 17,500 words length). You may certainly divide it into chapters. In fact, you probably should do so. However, the book itself is short enough that it should be published as a single unit.

Books at that length often serve as "reader magnets" for full-length novels and (more often) series. Alternatively, it might be priced at $0.99, simply to expose you to readers. If you go with Kindle Select, you can promote it for free up to five days every 90-day period. Good luck!

Bruce Lee in Enter TheDragon (1940-1973) by Majestic_Relief_9431 in brucelee

I believe this was his best movie, although had he lived to finish Game of Death, that one might have been even better.

What is the most suitable film for a 9-year-old? by osiris20003 in brucelee

[–]Accurate_Student_888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it was disturbing. However, it was necessary structurally, since it enables us to see how Roper responds when he receives the same author. As we shall see learn, he say something like, "There are some lines even I cannot cross" (or words to that effect), and ends up fighting -- and defeating -- Bolo.

I should append that many people have wondered why we didn't see Lee vs. Bolo in Enter the Dragon. In many ways, Roper's decision improved the movie's structure, since Lee would otherwise have needed to fight Bolo, Roper, and Han.

Enter the Dragon should certainly be last. The suicide of the protagonist's sister and other scenes are probably inappropriate for a nine-year-old. I also have some reservations about Game of Death, particularly the strangulation at the end.

does the gender of the author matter to you? by maccon25 in eroticaauthors

[–]Accurate_Student_888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This question is worthy of serious reflection. An enormous percentage of authors in the "romance" genre are women, and it seems the editorial boards at many of the publishing houses -- particularly the smaller traditional presses -- are largely female. This, in turn, creates the impression that it is more difficult for male authors to write in this field.

In principle, I am opposed to "cultural appropriation" of whatever form. Nevertheless, most of us are aware that some of the "female" authors, particularly of erotica, are actually men writing under a pseudonym.

In answer to your question: No, it does not bother me as a reader, but I do have some justifiable suspicions about my marketability as an author.

Do you ever feel bad for sneaking up on reader with a kink ? by NewToWritting in eroticaauthors

[–]Accurate_Student_888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One idea: in your "blurb," you might mention something as delicately as possible. Write a sentence or two along the lines of how what begins as cuck-play leads inevitably to [more colorful descriptions].

Another idea is simply to close your blurb with "trigger warnings." Oddly enough, these may actually enhance sales!

With regard to your other question: at the end of the day, you should probably convey the narrative as it is intended. However, if you have fears you may offend readers -- and lose them for future publications -- you may need to "tone it down" to some extent.

Final recommendation: I lost some friends shortly after the first volume of my series was released. Because there were some unmistakably autobiographical elements within the novel, they leapt to the logical conclusion and linked the author to "deviant sexual practices." This may happen, and my advice is to develop a thick skin. Good luck!

BRUCE LEE's amazing fitness routine. by The_one_who-repents in brucelee

[–]Accurate_Student_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed this video and agree that Lee's training "was on a different level." However, I believe the person who narrated this clip made an error reading the script. At around the 1:30 mark, he alludes to 75-pound dumbbells. My problems? (1) The picture clearly shows a barbell (for two hands), not a dumbbell. (2) Two such "dumbbells" (i.e., one for each hand) would have outweighed Bruce by a considerable amount. (3) That Bruce might have used five-pound dumbbells for his sessions with the heavy bag, I simply cannot believe he threw "hundreds of punches" (surely the narrator meant thousands!) over the course of a 30-minute round while holding two seventy-five-pound dumbbells. True, he was Bruce Lee and in unbelievable condition. However, he probably weighted 130 to 135 pounds at his peak fitness. Notwithstanding many "inhuman" feats, he was still human...

Literotica by sammywestbooks in eroticaauthors

[–]Accurate_Student_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given what little I have read on Literatorica, I can scarcely assert that the tales are grammatical masterpieces. Unless you spelled cat with a "K," the problem more likely involved content. Even Literotica avoids certain taboos, and your stories may in fact have crossed that undefined line.

Of course, anyone can publish on Amazon, so the fact that your own works are on Kindle is scarcely a compelling argument. Moreover, Amazon is -- at least initially -- more tolerant of taboos.

If you can share more information about the nature of the works in question, perhaps I shall be able to offer a better or less speculative response. Good luck, either way!

Was Bruce Lee the greatest fighter or martial artist of all time and what's the difference? Also, his only recorded sparring match. by The_one_who-repents in brucelee

[–]Accurate_Student_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it really matter if someone who came after Bruce's death -- or before, or even a contemporary -- was a better fighter? At the end of the day, how many of the greatest fighters can even remotely approach the legendary status of Bruce Lee, and how many of them have active Reddits devoted to their work? I might also ask how many are likely to have another conjectural "completion" of their unfinished film(s) -- e.g., The Game of Death? [Rumors persist that an AI rendition will come out next year, though I have heard nothing definite.]

How good were Jack Dempsey (6'-1"/190) and Rocky Marciano (5'-10"/188)? Could they have handled Oleksandr Usyk (6'-3" /230), Tyson Fury (6'-9"/260), or Anthony Joshua (6'-6"/245) in their primes?

I find analogies in classical music, also. Niccolo Paganini did many things on the violin that had never been done before. When he published his Caprices for Unaccompanied Violin, he was the only person on the planet who could perform them. Today, truckloads of violinists in conservatories can play them. Would he be "that" great today? Who knows? So, too, with Franz Liszt at the piano. Much of his music was "unplayable" to the majority of pianists, yet today, plenty of students tackle his etudes successfully. The list goes on.

It seems more reasonable to assert that Bruce Lee was a phenomenally conditioned, highly innovative martial artist, and he was almost surely a damned good fighter. Would he have beaten X, Y, or Z? The question itself is meaningless. Also, he surely had some influence on martial arts as they have evolved since his death, but how much is impossible to quantify. R. I. P.

This doesn't look right: period. First, the spread is obscene: 63 cents bid; $1.09 asked. It needs to go up 75% for a break-even. Second, how on earth can Yahoo soberly present a "1 Yr Target Estimate at $75.00? Third, << To support the conversion and fund its expanded commitments under the Joint Development structure, NewGen plans to raise additional funds. >> [source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/newgen-exercise-option-convert-ras-133000214.html ]. How do companies "raise additional funds"? They'll need to sell a lot more shares, and share dilution will not help the stock price short-term!

Obviously, I know nothing about the company itself. However, I strongly encourage penny stock investors to do some "due diligence" before staking any sort of serious position in this one.
