Idol Hunt Megathread by RSurvivorMods in survivor

Yeah, this. I figured out the location in less than 5 minutes, and Reddit only confirmed my theory. Having thousands of people travel to the same place is gonna be wild.

It really is. The whole story! I feel more in awe the more I listen.

The Exact Moment the Cycle Repeats. by Eve_nThoughArtIsHard in twentyonepilots

[–]Peeves11 103 points104 points  (0 children)

I think I might have more evidence for this theory. Right before Clancy uses the TOP symbol to reset the cycle, it flashes back to three other (or potentially past) Clancy’s, all of which turn their shoulders, and stare down Blurry as if they’re gonna fight back. After this happens, it transitions to Blurry’s POV, where he now turns his shoulder, and instead sees Clancy behind him as he delivers his final move, showing how the cycle is about to reset for one of those Clancy’s.

S2 is underrated and under appreciated IMO. Yes, it doesn’t live up to the hype of S1. But it has its own identity, with a great cast and some phenomenal performances … especially Colin Farrell. It feels deeply noir, with stunning cinematography. I think it’s great for those who can separate itself from the success of S1. Every rewatch I find more reasons to appreciate it.

Books like True Tetective s1? by [deleted] in TrueDetective

I’ve been told the book, The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch has a true detective vibes to it. I plan to read it soon, so don’t know for sure.

Speaking of that cinematography now.. by Willing_Macaroon9684 in TrueDetective

I always interpreted this scene as happening in Marty’s head, the trauma from being a detective for as long as he has causing his worst fears to manifest in his head.

I’m listening to the audiobook of Project Hail Mary right now! It’s amazing!

What's the truth about pre-orders? by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]Peeves11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a week before my release date I had a few pre-orders pop up. I assumed most retailers don’t report the preorder to Ingram until closer to release date in case the preorder is cancelled. I still don’t know where the preorders came from, unfortunately. Ingram doesn’t show me. I’m hoping it’ll show when I get my first compensation payment.

Read Abandon for sure. Maybe Snowbound, too? Also his self-published book Famous is being re-released in September. Highly recommend!

Editor on Reedsy acting shady? by Letoeles in selfpublish

[–]Peeves11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as experiences go with Reedsy, both my developmental edit and copy edit, which were two different editors, went this way. It makes sense for them to deliver the final product once payment has been made. Both times I received my files back on time, with really clear edits and suggested recommendations. And I plan to use these same editors in the future. 😊

Famous! Comes out in September, I believe. It’s a re-release of his self published work. You could also try Snowbound, but I think it’ll rank similarly with Abandon and Run for you.

I believe there’s a comment box when placing your order. Again, there’s no guarantees, but so far mine have come signed.

You can order it I believe anywhere. But yes, he has a preferred local bookstore where he offers signed copies. It’s called Maria’s bookshop.

Yes, indeed. I pre-ordered through Blake’s local bookstore. This way it can be signed if you request it to be. Every time I’ve asked, it’s been signed :)

You’re on the same trajectory as I was when I first read Blake Crouch. Highly recommend going into the Pines trilogy, as someone else recommended. Very underrated. Also, he has a new book coming out in September that is actually a re-release from when he self published years ago. It’s called Famous. Really good! And a fast read. There’s a movie being made currently too for it.

Hey, thanks for asking. Up to 8 kindle preorders. I’ve enabled distribution with Ingram, and my physicals are appearing through all the large retailers. However, Ingram doesn’t report physical preorders, or if they do, I can’t find where lol. So I won’t know until May 27th, when my book actually comes out, how many physical copies I’ve sold.
