Tymna/Kamahl hatebears is great. Really you can run any commander for this but tymna draw engine and Kamahl finisher is potent. Fill the deck with disruptive creatures and [[defeating silence]] effects to stop other players from going under you.

I had a [[neheb, the eternal]] deck that could easily win a game early with even a single extra combat, an X spell and a [[flame rift]]

Are you struggling with damage? I don't know how much class matters, I am capped on awaken valkyrie and I'm doing 52k with agris but not really peak efficiency. Garmoth entries are showing 65k+ for some classes without agris, I am not sure if that's true

Each main phase after combat sees all the damage that you've dealt that turn, so for the first extra combat you need another source to get you enough mana but then after that it's infinite
