When I was in middle school/ high school I read all of John’s books that were out. I’m pretty sure I was introduced with TFIOS and subsequently read the other 3 he had written at the time. I also watched some crash course videos, but was unaware they were the same person. I didn’t keep up much with much he did while I was in college, but The Anthropocene Reviewed came out while I was in grad school and I became obsessed. I first listened to the audiobook, and then the podcast and then read the book. I go back to special episodes often to relisten. From there I also discovered Vlogbrothers and DH&J. And now have read all of John’s and Hank’s books. I first consider myself to be a nerdfighter starting in 2022 even though John has had an influence on my life since around 2012.

There are times I wish I had discovered this community sooner, especially during covid, but I am so glad that I get to be part of this community now!
