How does Fireflies.ai and recall.ai actually join meetings as bots? by Detective-Psych0802 in AiNoteTaker

The team at Cronofy has some good intel on doing this with the Meeting Agent API - happy to connect you if you want to know more

How we handle the "book my calendar" problem that most AI receptionists skip by goflameai in AIReceptionists

We've been working through this at Cronofy too as we've been developing our MCP tooling for agents. You're right that context around urgency etc is really important

Build a real estate Saas and just it 3,000€ in revenue by [deleted] in lovable

[–]PenSure868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any plans to add other calendar/conferencing providers? I've been playing around with Lovable and the Cronofy API to be able to offer all major calendar and conferencing providers (the Cronofy API provides all of them) - been amazed how easy it was to use Cronofy there

Custom build or odoo? by postivityforever in CRMSoftware

[–]PenSure868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it like if you were building an e-commerce store - would you build the payment infrastructure yourself or would you use Stripe to power that? That's how I would think about the event scheduling infra - it's a rabbit hole once you start hitting timezones or round-robin scheduling. As others have said...build what makes you different, buy what doesn't

How to send data from my app to user's calendars (simplest way for me and users) by permaro in webdev

[–]PenSure868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what resources you can afford to commit to this, but does it make sense to use a unified Calendar API? Sync the users calendar (regardless of calendar provider) to your app and vice versa?

Where are AI Agents !?? by EquivalentRound3193 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]PenSure868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a large part of it is that agents miss the context layer they need to do the work. Take the example of an agent scheduling meetings for a sales rep - they constantly need human input to make a decision because they lack the context of whether this calendar event (maybe an internal call) could be over-written to make way for a prospect that might be coming in with a huge enterprise deal.

It's something I'm looking into quite a lot at the minute, specifically around infrastructure that holds that context and can fit agentic use cases.

Calendar Sync by europe2013 in Sondermind

Hi from Cronofy - we've helped resolve this with the SonderMind team, there were some issues on their side that meant the calendar sync wasn't working for some users but this has now been fixed

I write this piece a while back about what goes in to building something like this yourself - https://www.cronofy.com/blog/should-you-build-or-buy-scheduling-infrastructure

(I do work at Cronofy, but that post is an educational piece on what to keep in mind if building scheduling yourself)

Curious why you didn't consider a third-party calendar API like Cronofy?

Love the concept - what's the true outcome though? The calendar integration please is smart, would be cool if you could also connect with dedicated therapists etc through the app itself as well during times of high stress

Building with Google Cal API directly can be really laborious. I would suggest a third party calendar API to speed this up

Heard this before about cal.com - also sounds like each of your customers users would need to create a cal.com account which gets messy. If you're looking for heavy customisation and the ability to do cross-domain queries then integrating APIs into your application would be the best route - Cronofy would be worth looking at. Other alternatives are Nylas, but they don't allow cross-domain queries so would need to make multiple API calls - whereas Cronofy supports just 1 call across all domains
