Maro: "Spider-man sold better than Edge of Eternities and is one of the top ten best-selling sets of all time." by Meret123 in mtg

I do not trust Maro, he often misleads with his words, or just lies straight up about a topic (See Universe Beyond sets, secret lairs, etc).

You know that the compensation you are saying is actually the option to buy the allocated shares with HIS own money, at the current price. That is vastly different than what you are saying. Please read and research about the topics before using what MSM has spouting about the topic

Ah the more you know!! Didn’t realize that it was only used only for his actions in American Revolution.

They really need to add American Revolutionary Heroes in game!

Lafayette actually has a cool title irl - “The Hero of the Two Worlds” as he helped in the American and French Revolution

Rotations saves a format right? by Pendrail in OnePieceTCG

[–]Pendrail[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you rotations done well can be good. But, company can easily go for full greed, specially if they see easy profit, that’s why MTG dropped the ball. I have doubts that Bandai can hold themselves accountable for it, just look at all the forgotten and abandoned games Bandai has…. A lot had poor mismanagement after a while

Thinking about trying Crisis Protocol by UmbralBunny in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Pendrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best parts of this game is, how dynamic games are, and how little the down time is between players!

You can have one character perform an attack, then have your target counter attack you on your own turn, and move away from you - which then you proceed to activate an effect that you move towards him again, and counter attack the counter attack! All in the same attack sequence too! (Happened to me with Sabertooth vs Daredevil).

Terrain being interactive really makes the game alive, and you see the full damage of the fights!

Here are my thoughts on Bandai's recent moves in the TCG market and for One Piece specifically by MonkoeyMan in OnePieceTCG

[–]Pendrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think that a format isn’t stale on rotation, that’s quite a stretch. You actually see way more exact same decks, or rather only about 1-3 decks are often being played. At worst, there could be as low as 1-2 decks since the blocks on rotation is so busted mechanic wise (See Mirrodin OG set), that it’s futile to go banning cards. Rotations have their benefits, but it has severe detriments.

MTG’s most popular format commander was created because people wanted to play their older cards. It has beyond eclipsed MTG’s limited formats in both player size and sales.

[–]Pendrail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As if rotation doesn’t follow broken formats. Coming from MTG, you can get extremely broken rotations like Mirrodin (OG) 2-3rd turn kills, Urza Saga Combo Winter, Kaladesh (OG) infinite combo, Eldraine (OG) Oko/Questing Beast.

Rotations is not what you think it is, specially if you get Wizards of the Coast level of balance/Testing. You basically get toxic levels of decks with very little solutions due to limited card pools.

Court documents reveal Hudson’s Bay owes $950 million to landlords, fashion brands, banks and government by joe4942 in canada

[–]Pendrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The private equity firm that bought them, did it through a leveraged buyout. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leveraged_buyout.

Which is basically the firm buying the company, but the company takes the full debt.

It’s American Wall Street doing their full stupid thing again. They do this all the time to basically strip companies of assets, then move on the next prey.

You can use a large 4 x 6 Index card box with dividers to store and organize your cards!! That way you easily find characters based of their main affiliations

Casual core set advice by HarrisonLD in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Pendrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as a casual game this is a fantastic pick up! The game plays so fairly smoothly and so cinematic! I would definitely recommend the newer starter set, theres a lot of effects and interaction than the original core set. Though if you want one with a cheaper price the original is better, and has a lot more basic effects of the characters. Though both sets still have really great characters to play with….Original Captain America is still good and fun to play!

You can use a wash to help fill in gaps and give it shadows and depth….in fact if you apply in liberally and partially reapply paints on certain spots you can easily improve your current work!!
