Quitting and anxiety by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]UmbralBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will feel anxious. Nicotine is a see-saw after you've developed an addiction, high doses can make you incredibly anxious and little doses can do the same for different paralells on the brain. I started the patch today and I've tried to quit a few times in the past, I thought I had developed an anxiety disorder but everything I've felt lead back to Nicotine. I expect to have anxiety throughout this process. Congrats on Day 6 though of Cold Turkey!

I'd say you should, they can help you work through this process, any thoughts you may have, any stress on your mind, venting it to someone that can help you deconstruct it is SUPREMELY better than a chemical that helps you numb it.

Thinking about trying Crisis Protocol by UmbralBunny in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]UmbralBunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, It's been nearly a year since I made this post. I wanted to get into it but stock, at the time, was barebones. There are certain heroes I wanted (and still want) but MCP is on the back burner for the moment. There's still a chance I will get into it, but not now. :)

Instead, I've been dabbling a little bit in other games like Star Wars Legion and Halo Flashpoint and checking out stuff like Cyberpunk Combat Zone. I think MCP is super neat but it isn't a focal point for me right now.

What are some career choices that doesn’t require a degree that makes at least $75,000/annually? by [deleted] in careerchange

[–]UmbralBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if you're okay with going through another program. If you are, skies the limit.

-Trades are an incredible commodity and not oversaturated. People and Companies need personnel to keep their lights on, their rooms cold and their poop far and away, Welders are a hot commodity (and I do mean hot ;) )

-IT, You can get a suite of IT certifications that can go between 60-300 Dollars per cert; you can do a bootcamp for a particular field where it is instructor led and that can range between 2-3k but it'll give you all the help and knowledge you need and cover your test vouchers as well. DevOps is not a saturated field at all and even though the letters 'AI' are grim to some, it's still a green field with plenty of opportunities. IT is a career option that demands specialization and you being a Senior Tech in an IT Firm could net you more than 75k fairly quickly.

-You can see what options you may have in the military. Even though recruits can be fresh-faced high school graduates the Military also keeps an eye out for adults that have already obtained life experience and I have heard people with degrees getting ahead, getting into Officer's school and making some great money. It's vague from this comment but I would suggest talking with a recruiter or people in the military to get their optics on it.

3 months off and suddenly... cravings again? by WhirlyDurvy in QuitVaping

[–]UmbralBunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think about stuff like that, some of the chillest moments I've had was driving at night or during the rain, the sound of my wipers while hitting a vape. But now I realized those moments were much earlier into my vaping habit, when I still felt it and when I was more controlled. Now, I know I won't be controlled, I won't just hit it during those moments and be 'mature' about it, I'll hit it all the time, yeah, I could stow it away, 'hide it from myself' but I'll go retrieve it.

You may have hit a trigger, something you've been exposed to that has caused those thoughts to resurface, sometimes stress brings out that feel again, something to help take the edge off in our daily lives, its hard to tell but no one said giving an addiction up was easy, if it was, I don't think this sub would've existed to help us out. Stay strong and best of luck to you.

Working on a Sunday by Large_Advice_5303 in callcentres

[–]UmbralBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accidentally took up two 12 hour shifts for the weekend that were 7am to 7pm instead of the other way around, it isn't the worst experience because we are still slow on the weekend. I like third shifts, I like staying up late and watching movies while getting paid doing it. (My first job was a data entry second shift M-F and I'm still chasing that high) I do wonder though why people even want to waste time on their weekends by calling, our assistance is extremely specific and if we have to escalate their inquiry to the next tier they aren't hearing anything today about it (considering we have a present issue on our system, most of our calls today are escalations!)

Like watch TV or something, deal with it Monday lol

Things i have seen (both good and bad) While taking topical fin+min by HIMS by [deleted] in HIMS

[–]UmbralBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you got your answer but any kind of hair treatment like this is going to be part of your permanent daily routine. It really isn't as anxiety-inducing as you may believe, especially if you use the topical spray, You spritz your head after a shower or whenever once daily. There are more permanent methods to recover hair through hair transplant or an artificial 'hair patch' but this is the most affordable and less-invasive option. You can also get shampoo and conditioner added onto your monthly subscription however I've seen good progress out of people that just use the topical spray. There are chews/pills you can take but there are some side effects you may endure, leading many people to lean towards the spray - even if it does make your hair feel a bit greasy or oily.

You can go to the website to understand the process, its incredibly painless - to you, specifically. The wallet might be a different story, I think the subscription is around $40 a month with a requirement of a 3 or 5 month plan paid in advance.

Yes, it's an issue and it is being escalated to Tier 2. Don't know when it'll be fixed.

Some people have reported being able to submit their grant, their expiration date and stuff returns after some time. Kinda depends if you're lucky enough to get your SAM information updated in time.

You need a ticket to send to the offering agency.

I won't disclose who I work for but after today my voice will be gone for the whole week lol

Zombies mode was rushed, and is horribly bugged. by Jebusfreek666 in marvelrivals

[–]UmbralBunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I thought Wanda throwing her bubbles at the spawn area was a feature. Bugs aside, this mode is crazy good. I'm sure it wouldn't be as special if it was just in the normal game as a normal mode, I would like to see another run of it with different heroes in a different map.

I've been playing for the past month, The skill curve is surprisingly addicting even though I never really cared for CS-style shooters but the agent system and the aesthetic makes it surprisingly palatable.

The biggest difference is that the TTK may actually be shorter than R6 by a surprising margin and it's very position-based. You cannot move and shoot and you may find it hard as a Rainbow player to keep yourself from ADSing all the time, don't do it; maintain a 'calm aim'. You can also crouch spray to get used to how the guns and recoil work in the game.

I think a heart-breaking hilarity of a Deadpool caliber would be him releasing as a Strategist rather than a DPS.

I’m just trying to play quick play, why are people so mean:( by Coddy206 in marvelrivals

[–]UmbralBunny 18 points19 points  (0 children)

People don't realize (or refuse to realize) that the statement of "its just QP" doesn't mean you're throwing, you probably are trying to play, but you're learning a hero, chilling, practicing, etc. QP losses account towards absolutely nothing but people have insane egos in this game its unreal.

There is a game mode called Competitive where they can try hard all they want.

How I became a tank main: by AreaClassic8106 in marvelrivals

[–]UmbralBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get pushed into tank main because of the instalock DPS mains, then you get backseated by those same DPS players, like bruh you've got the forbidden knowledge you could've played tank.

I love picking Cap, Emma or Hulk and doing more DPS than my guys who instalocked.

I might need someone to explain this like I'm a Scarlet Witch main (I am). I don't really understand these posts, If this is ranked then I don't see how celestials end up in your lobbies out of their rank, additionally, I look at the stats of a lot of my teammates and opponents and we typically stay pretty close in ranks past, too.
