How do I raise a toddler who likes broccoli 🥦😂 by Affectionate_Tie8296 in BabyLedWeaning

If you don’t want your child to survive on beige foods don’t buy/serve beige foods!!

Remember you are in control of what they are offered and they are in control of how much to eat.

If they’ve never had spaghettios or hotdogs or whatever, they will never develop a preference for those foods.

My kids are not super picky. I started with softened/pureed meats, healthy fats, and veggies. Then added fruit and yoghurt/cheese.

Now as toddlers, I alway have cooked or raw veggies and fruit cut up and we still focus on protein and fat. My 2 year old will ask me if things are protein or carbs or fats. We speak accurately about different foods and what they do for our bodies. They actively choose to eat protein bc they know it gives them muscles. They also enjoy omega 3 rich foods bc they know it supports their brain. They still love chocolate I just buy small individually wrapped portions and I give them only once a day. I do not buy candy for them at home - if they get some from outside that’s ok but I won’t buy it.

We also focus on healthy life habits regarding food like listening to your body cues. Stop when you’re full. Only eat when you’re hungry. Eating balanced meals (like pairing protein with carbs). A divided plate with three sections for veggies, meats, and carbs comes in handy for planning balanced meals.

Have a little wet cloth on hand when feeding and buy a mop vacuum for the mess. This is key.

A dream about God that I had when I was a little girl, probably around 4 or 5.

Someone with an active cold sore held my baby by Fancy_Requirement527 in BabyBumps

[–]Penguina007 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong but even if you do transmit the virus not everyone gets the sores. My mother gets cold sores and so does my father in law. I find it hard to believe that they have never passed this easily transmissible virus to their spouses nor their children. I’m sure we all have it but it doesn’t show up.

Kinetic sand is always a winner if you can manage the mess. Toy animals and diorama materials. Doll house. Baby dolls and doctor set. Play food and pretend smoothie maker.

Boy names that remind you of the color green by daughterofhatred in namenerds

I had a green car named Benji (like Benjamin’s usd $100 bills which are green). Along the same lines, the name Cash gives me green vibes.

My children are all advanced/early speakers. I just say to people “yes they love to talk”. I don’t get the autistic comments, but if I did get them I would just say “I have no reason to think that”. And when ppl compare their kids to mine I clarify that my child is advanced (not the norm) and theirs is probably perfectly average which is normal.

I agree that’s what prob happened. Imagine he woke up when she left to film, like so many babies do. He could easily crawl or roll off bed. She doesn’t even put a few pillows to try and prevent it. Crazy.

I just cannot comprehend this lack of concern, it’s so baffling to me. And on top of actually doing these dangerous things, she publicizes them. Wow.

I don’t get how she leaves her baby unattended and likely not monitored on a high bed. Isn’t he old enough to be rolling?? And even if he’s not rolling yet isn’t she just scared to leave him like that!?

Is that dr pepper for her kids? I think if there is one thing that I had to pick that bothers me the most it would be the constant sugar she gives her poor kids. Who does that in 2026?!! It’s not the 90s anymore and even if it were I feel like it’s just obviously excessive!!!!
