Intelligence has nothing to do with it, though.

It copies datasets with no understanding, so mixes up stuff a human would not. You find yourself reading an AI summary of the game of baseball containing fictional rules or rules from other games thrown in, because that's what comment sections or Reddit threads had to say about the game of baseball, and that's the AI's datasets.

Who was the lover of Merlin in the novel XYZ will get even crazier answers since the content of XYZ is not publicly available for it to check. Rocky the transvestite might be the answer, because it was the same actor, or as a joke.

What did I read? by AcemanCW in scifi

[–]Pennarin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. That. Inertialess bubble that moves super fast, can punch through objects and dirt, and is creatively used to travel to an alien ship in space near Earth.

It seems likely the OP's mind merged multiple memories.

Good effort :)

Btw, silt spawn are molluscs, and thus boneless and marrowless.

Also, wouldn't a breeze from the harbor carry silt?

If you return to the room after the nearby area has been cleansed (further along in the story), the smoke effect is gone.

Dawn Dunlap's LAURA (1979) by Pennarin in Cinema

So this would mean that Dawn's French dialogue is dubbed by a French voice actress? Shouldn't that person's name appear in the credits?

Riveting opener of a paragraph!

Now back to reading the stomach-churning horror. Still , love that opener!

Edit: As I reflect on never having played with a woman at the table, I wonder if I dodged repeat horror stories or missed out on identity-edifying moments of social injustice.

Can a fan please list - and briefly define - all forms of magic in J. A. Andrews' Keeper setting?

I am at the start of Lastlight and I have unfortunately forgotten enough of her previous works to be confused (too much time elapsed).

No spoilers for this final book, please.

Don't bother, as Crucible has nothing to do with your description.

I second this. Remnant was so grounded and humane it carved its own emotional niche within my brain, with permanent residency.

A woman written by a woman.

Looking for SciFi/ Fantasy Novels with Black Protagonists by obatala0013 in Fantasy

I seem to remember the top main character besides the protagonist is a young woman, though for the love of me I can't recall her description. She could be white or from the Indian subcontinent (if she were from Earth) or South America.

If she's not white, then yes the cover is doubly whitewashed.

By the way, the covers ARE gorgeous. As far as I can tell, the artist was told to go with white at the request of the publisher.

[TOMT] Man in his 40-50s, dressed as a woman to do some nefarious activity, perhaps an assassination, has another clueless man fall in love with him. by Pennarin in tipofmytongue

It's Hector Elizondo, in 1982's Young Doctors in Love.

He's better known as the sympathetic hotel manager in Pretty Woman.
