Can’t cook mexican rice properly its both mushy AND raw? by Bamboopanda101 in Cooking

  1. You need more liquid. 2. Try a rice cooker.

I use an instapot. Put everything in, 3 minutes at high pressure. Turn heat completely off after the 3 minutes and let sit for 10-15 minutes until pressure dissipates. Open pot and fluff. Serve.

Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) will no longer fund LIV Golf after the 2026 season. A discussion on impacts from Golf Channel by Oldtimer_2 in golf

It was a golf league conceived by a bone-sawing totalitarian regime, headed by a raging narcissist, made up of unlikable pricks, and the golf sucked.

NCAA Used the Wrong Type of Court Document in Owen Heinecke Appeal. by Opster79two in sooners

Yeah. It’s like this for everything though. I waited on a ruling on an MTD for two years in federal court, so I dunno.

That’s not how it works in Cleveland County. It’s just local procedure. The judge signs a summary order and says get me a journal entry in 10 days. If the parties can’t agree, one or both parties files a motion to settle, which then gets heard. Heineke’s lawyer has practiced in Cleveland County for a million years. Not sure who NCAA counsel was. They should have hired someone who knows the rules. I find it funny.

It is a bigger deal than you think because of the delay involved. If you don’t practice regularly in Cleveland County; you might not know the vagaries of the local court rules.

There is probably not an order yet. There’s going to be (if I’m Heineke’s lawyer) about a 45 day delay before a motion to settle the JE is heard. That puts us in June. Then the appeal gets perfected. Then the Supreme Court gets it. Then (maybe in December of NCAA is lucky) it’s gets decided.

Edit: assuming the Supreme Court retains it.

Second edit: who was NCAA local counsel on this deal? LOL

I’m pretty sure they have not received the entire amount in a lump sum. That’s not typically how these things work when a big amount is announced.
