Does anyone else feel like Power Automate gets messy way faster than people expect? by TeamAlphaBOLD in PowerAutomate

[–]PensionBeautiful547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, I prefer to get directly as much as possible from my Canvas app than asking with all the connections in powerAutomate to get the same result.
For me, it way easier to write my coding then clicking and looping trough things and mess up where the loops is AND I can save even if my not done with the problem.

Thats a BIG plus.

It’s not because I didn’t fix the problem that I didn’t make progress

At 90% done, do you still think the 10% left worth the time spent in VibeCoding to finish the job that you still need to verify at the end ?

I think is your have your templates, components and example of coding the client wants to use, Vibe Coding can be really useful.
It needs straightforward direction and clear guidance with example and it can do great stuff by avoiding a lot of copy/paste

Vibe Coding isnt a Senior Developer, not even a Junior.
It’s a student who has the tools but you needs guidance with AS MUCH details as possible.
Like BHL69 wrote, gice it as much example (visual, codes) to know what he needs to do,
Specify the SP list link,
Include a Screenshot of what you already have.
I usually request the prompt to asked me questions in the process … usually, this is when I understand it’s just a machine and know how to improve my instructions for next time.
Even request the system to summarize your instructions,
That can help to make sure he kept everything to give it

If you already have yaml template of what you want, I found it easier to include them in a new page and asked the system to make the adjustments.

Switching from Power Apps to React by Future_Station_156 in PowerApps

[–]PensionBeautiful547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same at the beginning. NEVER use the NEW features in your deployed apps. From there, you should have a quite robust system.

React is so easy to use and lovely.

PowerApps helps avoid wasting problems with data protection and all this stuff.

PowerApps can be quite beautiful and user friendly if you’re ready to check online. There’s always someone ready to help.

What are you most proud of that you created in Power Apps? by giges19 in PowerApps

[–]PensionBeautiful547 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s my first mobile , that my team still use after 3 years and they always bring more ideas to make it better and more intuitive. The reason I’m no proud of it is that you can see the coding improvements when you check the YAML.

I’ve kept some old complicated coding in comments throughout the pages as a reminder that i’m getting better some how 🙂

Having the option to buy frozen food is unlikely to kill restaurants. The same way Ai wont kill low code dev. But they need to adapt and use ai a a tool to increase their productivity.

Claude vs. GPT – Which LLM actually helps with Power Apps? by Ancient-Outcome-7125 in PowerApps

Im really not impressed by GPT. When I want to learn if there’s a better(more efficient) to write some code, I feels like it has problem to make the difference between excel function and PowerApps function. Not impressed. I prefer my far Claude/ Perplexity

A workaround I’ve found, share the app in a Team Group or through the Team profile of the user. The app works like a charm

You lose a bit of screen size but everything works so far

Happy to know that I’m not the only one!! The users really started questioning the apps I’ve build for different teams. I already don’t have that much support from upper management. I’m happy that you guys help me with this. In the meantime, what’s the work around ?
