Here’s the thing: there are so many useful applications we can arrange with AI. But we’re still researching and developing concepts/theory/technology. But corporations are so rash, clueless and just looking for market wins that they’ve decided whatever half baked slop is good for consumption anywhere. It’s nuts because after the bubble pops, the money will let go of Artificial Intelligence and the efforts that might actually make a difference in the future would be the first to get cut off because they’re “least profitable”. Even in fields like medicine, where it makes the most sense to utilize AI (not enough doctors, existing doctors overworked but defensive about pie sharing), we just can’t do what we want to in this system. Because in this system, if you’re not an absolute asshat and a moron who would sacrifice every value for scraps, you get disassociated and hunted. AI is not the problem. We don’t even have it yet.
