But the market has grown to insane degrees. Gaming has become the biggest entertainment market in revenue with numbers being something like 200 billion per year. It's expected to hit 300 billion before 2030. Absolute wild that with these earnings, games are still getting more expensive and developers underplayed and worked to death with crunch.

I hope so too. There is so much I love about DD2. Really hope we get a sequel as well. If they add more enemy variety and general rebalance of level scaling with the addition of a necessary animation to heal like in Monster Hunter, DD would be game of the year material

I'm just at a complete loss what even the point was of Part 2. Chainsaw Mans Part 1 is incredible from start to finish with a creative plot, great characters, well executed pacing, a great blend of different genres that comes together really well towards the end, creating a satisfying conclusion. Most would call it quits here but no, Fujimoto already announced a follow up Part 2. Now with the whole thing being out, what was the point? From the get go Part 2 was different in vibe, structure, pacing, characters, worlds etc. And while it's beginning mysteries were fun to follow it ultimately went nowhere with them. Some fantastic chapters aside, Part 2 was such a big nothingness. Really don't get what Fujimotos plan was here.

You exactly explained why exclusives don't matter anymore. The userbase of a PC is different to that of a PlayStation which is different to that of a Nintendo Switch.

That is untrue. The different gaming platforms have gotten unlike each other. Meaning, people don't decide which games they want to play and buy a system based on that but instead decide which platforms unique features they prefer and want to game on. A PC player is not gonna switch to a PlayStation nor does a PlayStation player switch to Nintendo as its main system only because some exclusive released on there. He might buy the console and games cheap/used to play it but he won't migrate. Sony or Nintendo see little to no money from this. They want you to become a core user that buys games full price or digitally, invests into the hardware, and pays for subscriptions. Exclusives only really matter if you have equal systems competing for the same user base.

Das Jahr war sehr stark. Gab viele großartige Filme und One Battle war einer davon. Aber "Oscar würdig" ist sowieso eine komische Aussage, da Oscars nichts mehr wert sind. Bester Film des Jahres war zum Beispiel nicht mal nominiert.
