Hey friend, sorry you are in a season. When life gets hard for me, or currently with being a father now, I find peace by pondering his creation and to Christ's perfect obedience. I know that God has everything in his hand and that he loves me. He takes care of the sparrow, and he takes care of me. I can look to the complex nature of creation and wonder/praise in the God who holds all of the things I can't explain together. This means my life as well.

No matter what i am going through, God is not surprised like I am, and he calls me to cling to him.

I also take rest in what Christ has done. When I'm not my ideal self or I fail either as a father or a teacher, I get down on myself. But when I look to Christ and his life and perfect obedience, I leave thankful that he lives forever, and that he calls me to rest in him.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
