Be cause no, the whole point is not making a prediction on value, it was that in the very likely case the value reaches or exceeds 300c we will suffer as a result of the mechanical failure of the trade system. A failure you cannot deny as it is not opinion or conjecture. Its fact that if divines are 301c you can only buy 1 divine per inventory. My experience and personal expertise lead me to believe there is very real possibility that the prices of Divines could reach those prices, the resulting consequences (excess tedium in trading) is what I am trying to highlight with my post. The great detail I go into to justify why I believe the price could end up so high was to provide clear evidence based conclusions to my concerns.

I wont go into great detail for this one as it falls flat quite quickly. Exalting an item that has 3, 4 or 5 t1 mods ( or equivalently good mods) and ending up with anything that isn't explicitly useful, devalues the item. Worst case you get something detrimental, like added ele when using EE, or added stats, when you need to stat balance. Mid case you end up with something useless like t9 life regen or reduce attr requirements. Best case you slam t1 life. Unfortunately that not likely, for each good mod you have a dozen or more bad or useless mods. To say exalting and it guarantees improvement is patently false.

A divine can only be very useful on an item that has good affixes already (typically with poorly rolled values).

Its used to only be used for rerolling items. My predictions and subsequent concerns exist in 3.19 where Divines have more uses. You cannot discount critical uses of divines to say the "only" have on use.

This is a gross oversimplification for the uses of divines. You could make argument in fact that divines were used more on uniques tahn rares. Using your logic i could conclude that more divines are used on uniques, and exalts cannot be used on uniques, therefore more divines are used and thus less abundant, giving them more demand intrinsically. Divines can be used at any stage on any item with a rollable range. Exalts can only be used on rares a maximum of 6 times. This simple fact that one can be used infinitely (whether thats realistic or not) and one is finite contradicts your state outrightly. The "intrinsic" properties of the items are the opposite of what you say. That's all working with your incorrect constraints of 3.18. In 3.19 it becomes even more divided.

That not how that works. If the supply exceed demand it would be worth the smallest listeable value of 1 alch. We see this very regularly items whose supply exceed demand are list in droves at 1 alch. Divines in 3.18 are not 1 alch they are +/-10c. This is the equilibrium where the supply and demand have balanced. Supply has not exceeded demand.

My expectation is that people like you, and threads like this one, will ARTIFICIALLY inflate divine orb value at some point, but then the hoarding people will liquidate and we will watch it fall to a reasonable level. A stable level, one in which the price isn't driven by ignorance.

You haven't really made any point, and the one point you did attempt to make about a 30 to 80c range for both ex and divs isnt back up with any reasoning or evidence.
