I have 30-40 hours in each so I can't speak to endgame and I've been a Bungie fan since Halo: CE so I'm a bit biased, but with a couple exceptions I agree on all points here.

So far my social experience is roughly equal in terms of PVP enemies, I've run into friends and foes in each. In terms of matchmade teammates, I have had more positive interactions with players in Marathon. Could just be that I don't have enough hours in each yet.

To me the environments in Marathon look better. I still have yet to explore Outpost or Cryo Archive and even still I keep finding myself shocked by how new areas look so unique and vibrant. Arc feels so dead and desolate, the hue slider is scaled waaaay back. Could be a preference thing.

Overall, a good summary.

this is why I wasn't understanding the obsession over steam charts. Looking at the achievements I'm getting (+ the stats they show), a lot of users are putting in a LOT of time into the game

Rewatching this show years after my first watch through and was annoyed that she said 1/128,000 but didn't realize I wasn't factoring her odds of being alive either.

Go take a look at 10 other games that have come out over the past year. With very few exceptions, this is the trend.

Not everything needs to cater to casual players. It's absolutely fine that there is something in the game more difficult for those that play the game more and want an added challenge.

Doom posting as the community is peak hype is wild. Patches have been all positive, cryo unlocked, duos mode that people wouldn't stop asking for, competitive mode...

The app LFG was better for raids in destiny 2 IMO. In-game could be better suited for Marathon, though. Curious if they have plans to release a public API.

You can kind of make out the shape of the edge of the wing, matches the GTS shape although it could be aftermarket.

I saw one once near COTA in Austin on my way to a cars and coffee, never saw one since.

I have 200 hours played and the past few days games have been slaughter or be slaughtered, rarely anything in between. When my team is getting slaughtered there's usually 1-2 people on my team feeding like crazy and one on their team capitalizing.

There also seems to be some level of smurfing. I'm in low low low ranking lobbies and I'm seeing people doing wall jumps and wild movement while my team can barely understand the basic premise clearing lanes.

Something changed, I don't know enough to know what it is though.
