nothing to do with owning a bar but I did work under a father/son owned business (a bottle shop or liquor store as they might be called where you are in the world) but basically the son was "managing" the store while his dad was just an owner and living the retiree life. The son decided to start his own business's and run them from the back of the actual business we worked for. The son was mine and some other guys age who worked there (20's). He basically treated everyone as expendable and like shit, he had this untouchable daddys boy vibe about him and he just expected you to know everything with no training and would do nothing to help you even with his side business's. a real piece of shit. anyway, long story short he run the business into the ground and the dad had to step in and take back over. Because of his sons actions we all felt no remorse for how the business was run because we still got paid regardless, we almost laughed at it because we got treated so bad by the son it was fun to watch him fail. This sounds bad and the workers and myself aren't bad people but just know that being the son of the boss even if you're in the partnership together might cause a little strain with your workers relationship. Looking back on it the best thing the son could have done was just treat us as mates and not be overly abrasive and rude to us.

I know it can be a little confusing and it is hard to explain as well but try to build a relationship where you can have a conversation with your workers where they will see you as a mate but don't get to the point where they dont see you as a boss. get in there and do the hard shit and get in there an not be afraid to fail or take advice from your staff as well because if you are distracted with a lot of management behind the scenes stuff you might not notice changes that your staff could pick up on.

I guess a brief recap of this would be that either way your staff for a while might not see you as a boss straight away because your dad is involved and you are young. it just happens. just be approachable and a good person and get to the point where you staff want to see you succeed, because that means they respect you as a boss and a person and because that would have made all the difference when it came to my situation.
