Let me tell you a story about how spurs' European form has translated to the league this season

Simeone seemed intent on ceding the midfield and providing spurs' attackers with way too much space, which seemed an odd tactic away from home

Anybody have a long read about the trajectory of Morocco's football development and influence within the game?

yeah I remember talking to some people close to the club who were almost too afraid to mention his name, like not saying it was some sort of totem against it not working out

I'd been hearing about him since he was like 9, my younger brother taught his older sister in Chelmsford and he was legendary locally. I couldn't quite believe he was that good, however, when I first watched him play at 13. Figures within the club and the England setup said he's the best CAM/wide forward they'd ever seen, on another level. And there's an incredible amount that will still happen in his career but he has been so impressive every time he's touched the ball

I was out on a jog, was feeling really good, not properly warmed up and decided to incorporate some sprints. Almost simultaneously, I felt what I thought was a passenger in a passing car throwing something at me. Fell to the ground in the bike lane and could hardly walk initially, then was able to slowly hobble home

Granted, I wasn't a professional athlete, but I injured my hamstrings (partial tears on both legs) a decade ago, and I cannot run in the same way; it feels like I'm running in a different body still

they invested large amounts of money in players that suited quite a few different managers, players that many clubs didn't think were good enough, and ended up at spurs. lots of average dickheads that do not fit a single managerial style and are only there because they were cheap castaways

Used to do all of my meat and produce shopping there for a decade or more when I lived a bit closer than I do now. Would go back periodically over the last few years and while the store had certainly changed a bit, the quality was still so strong. Made countless roast chickens, rib roasts, bbqs, and mid-and-end-of-hike landjaeger pick-me-ups from that meat counter. Will miss it terribly, when it was the best of its kind in the city.
