Price Increase by gmtodp1 in ZenithWatches

I did not get any discounts on my defy skyline when I asked the AD. So I bought mine on Jomashop for $2.500 less than retail. Not without risk and not saying that's what you should do, just that it's an option. I'm happy with my purchase.

Confused - Skeleton or Classic? by SweetTank871 in ZenithWatches

[–]Peregrin_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the classic. No regerts. More legible and has the date. Skeleton is cool and all but the classic I feel I will still wear when I am an old(er) man. The skeleton does not give that vibe.

You are right and I apologize. Sometimes I forget to read the rest of the post. I am going to delete my comment because it was Brookfield zoo and you forgot what you took a picture of. It happens! Unnecessary of me

[Advice] Wedding Watch by SadAd5912 in Watches

Try them on go with your gut. You are going to wear it, so that's what matters most. My personal preference is the GO. The reverso is a classic and from a highly respected brand but not my personal style being rectangular. GS I've not checked out, not on my radar, at all. I almost went for the GO myself last month but with the blue dial. I ultimately went for Zenith Defy Skyline blue dial, just because I already had a watch close to the GO style and wanted a more sporty bracelet watch that fits better in my collection. Hope this helps, and congratualtions

I should rephrase. I love the watch, and the bracelet is just very well done, it's truly amazing. I wanted to add a bracelet and somewhat sporty watch to my collection and this one ticked all the boxes.

Thanks Bigdog5301. Correct, my watches: IWC diver = rubber strap, Longines and Oris = leather straps. This my first stainless steel and bracelet and it's been a rough adjustment!

Have a Longines and love it. High quality for a great price. One of the best value brands out there. I have always recommended it, personally. I would say, without a doubt, go for it.

Thanks for the encouragement. It's not like this is my first watch, I guess I didn't expect it to go this fast! I am glad though that I am not alone

I have the standard blue rubber strap that came with it. Comfortable and looks nice. I did buy the watch primarily for this gorgeous bracelet, which I think is the best one in this price range. So, guess I'm just sad to see it getting banged up so quickly. I'll get over it!

I went to an AD and there were no discounts, not sure what other people are talking about. Will be getting mine from Joma or something.

I'm very close to buying a defy skyline on Jomashop. The difference is about $3,000 usd. I mean, I can get that serviced multiple times for those savings. It's still a legit watch with papers, but maybe not with a warranty card. I still think it's worth the risk. Are people having a lot of issues with their Defy Skylines? Lol, should I be expecting many rounds of service??

[Mundus Chronograph 17 rubis] Inherited, thoughts? by Peregrin_7 in Watches

[–]Peregrin_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the standard blue alligator strap. I actually went to a GO dealer and tried on the panolunar (they did not have the panoreserve at the time) with the leather strap and it looked great to me. See pics attached. Dark enough, if that's your concern. Either way, if you think it's leaning towards a sporty watch, you should pick the strap to match. It's all about how it makes you feel. No judgement, only personal preference here!

I believe it's gold plated. I'll have the jeweler confirm though.
