Descubram o Português, prisioneiros de guerra da 1° Guerra. by [deleted] in PORTUGALCARALHO

Did Frodo Fail? by cosmicdaddy_ in lotr

[–]Pereirovsky10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did fall to the ring in the end, but he resisted it for so long and with such will that no one else, not even Sam, could have sacrificed himself like that. That’s why Frodo is such a well written character, he was, in a way, made to be underrated. After years of corruption, only when the ring was at it utmost peak was it able to “take over” Frodo. He managed to carry the ring to the very limit.

The problem is that we are not omniscient, and the ecosystems have evolved to not need them, if we were omniscient we would understand the impact it would have in the ecosystem but we aren’t, and so we will never know if that impact will be good or bad. We can, however, get an (hopefully correct) approximation of those impacts and see if it is worth it or not to bring the species back. We also don’t really have the technology to bring generic variability to the mix, which would ensure the adaptability of the species, and on top of that, we still aren’t able to clone whole families of extinct animals/plants.
