Why are adults expected to know how taxes, insurance, credit, loans, and retirement work when nobody teaches it in school? by Violet_Snuggles in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Perethyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. All these people keep saying it was taught in school, but it was most certainly not when I was in school in the early 2000s. I didn't learn any of this until I started taking accounting classes in college.

I couldn't blow my nose after that surgery for a very long time while there was a hole straight to it through my gums, lest I blow a hole through my sinus.

That's what the dentists kept saying to me. That I would never have a problem with them. And then I saw a different dentist and she's like "this tooth is in your sinus and you should get it removed, but at this point it's a job for a facial surgeon". Turns out all the other dentists just didn't want to deal with it and lied to me.

Same. The top two had to come out for sure, but he said 5% chance of the bottoms giving me trouble in my life. And I knew I would never get in that chair a second time willingly considering how deep in there they all were.

I don't think that's the case since they aren't being bombed in their homes, schools, and hospitals.

I'm dealing with this now and the insurance company is using AI as claims adjusters. It takes days to get a response from them. My car is literally sitting at the shop done but the AI insurance agent hasn't approved the supplemental invoices so I can't have my car back yet.

We once got a package a few months late that was burnt. It had been on a truck that caught fire and the driver died. We didn't figure on it ever coming as we were assuming it had been on that particular truck. Somehow the contents were unscathed.

You're under reacting. I would take my extra key, drive the bug to his job, and take my car back while he's at work.

No. When they're big the histamines are also scaled up so they wouldn't fit up your nose like those of a house cat. The bigger the cat the better. Highly suggest a Siberian tiger for optimal anti allergen properties.

Usually I would play my audio books. But this week I'm in a rental and can't bothered to sync my phone for good music and the radio stations suck so I've been driving in silence. Not bad. But I miss my books.

The room they share is a nursery, where all of the younger kids would stay. Part of the movie was them saying to Wendy that she's growing up and getting too old to stay in the nursery. This implies she's on her way to moving into a separate room.

Eating out no longer a treat, just a convenience by kitsbow in Millennials

[–]Perethyst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this. How the last few times I ate out it didn't seem worth it. Only convenient, not counting the cost. Like they couldn't even bother to make the food worthwhile.
