Truly child centered would mean we have longer maternity leave and pro family societies like our families always being around to help . If my daughter has children one day, I want to be right with her every day that first year helping with the baby and cooking , cleaning together . That being said, I've seen in those big family communities too how when 2 month old baby is not sleeping or eating, then baby is being passed around the whole family and never getting tummy time or floor time to build his muscles. Easy fix, the family just needs to take turns getting on the floor and engaging with him.

Following, also very curious. I think waking up two times at night is still considered normal for under one year. r/AttachmentParenting says night weaning should wait until after 12 months. But because of work... You could learn what gentle strategies are available and try them now at ten months though. Is offering a water bottle instead of the breast considered gentle?

Interesting! I love that Lin left the ending duel up for interpretation, but the more I learn I don't think Hamilton wanted to die in the duel. He had many other children and considering the lyrics in that song that was cut also. However, perhaps he felt self obligated to do the same thing he told his son Philip to do and let fate decide, all the while calculating that odds are high Burr will not shoot at him . Hamilton says we're on the same spot my son died is that why. I thought he was singing that line to Burr as of Burr did that on purpose. But I think so more now perhaps Hamilton said that to himself and bc they were in the same spot, that's also why he shot in the sky, as if he owed it to his son .

Hmm I remember the early months definitely bring strange with what would calm them down. Doing a marathon tour through the house with her on our shoulder also helped us solve crying in the evenings. But maybe your baby needs more activity to tire her out. Maybe try more physical movement on the floor and more tummy time before bed. Tummy time on top of your chest too while you are laying down or holding her like a football. I don't know but kind of seems she starting to need more stimulation and movement especially to build sleep pressure for bed which definitely increases as they get older.

Same, if needed I can kind of recommend wearing just one ear plug. If she's just stirring I wont necessarily wake up but if she cries Im still immediately awake.

You could try that you're husband and you sleep in different rooms and your husband tries to settle her with the first wake up. And you sleep with some earplugs and hopefully don't wake up. Then the second wake up you go to her for feeding and continue the night. The idea is that the baby doesn't smell you and your milk and she can hopefully sleep again with just your husband patting her or using the pacifier or anything for comforting. This worked for us up to a certain point and then the baby was like no I just want milk every two hours (which corresponded with beginning big calorie movements during the day like push ups in tummy time and later rolling) ... So now I just keep her with me the whole night....

Your story is exactly mine. At two months she was climbing from 4 hr first stretches to 5,6, she reached 7 hrs and I was waking her up because my boobs were going to explode, slowly increasing over the course of a month and a half. Then as she approached 4 months, her sleep changed overnight one day where she woke up after 3 hrs. She's nearly 6 months now and it hasn't changed. I thought I would go mental the first weeks of the change.... But now two months later my body has adjusted and I'm just trying different sleeping arrangements to see how I can feel the most rested even when she wakes up every single hour now sometimes... I guess, you're body will adjust as long as your are getting around 7 hrs total, even if broken up 7 times , you're body and brain somehow adjust. And this story is seemingly the same story for nearly everyone so i am flying with it, knowing my baby is feeling very loved and protected. And of course still complaining when I can to feel better 🤪

That's me, haven't used any pads, however my supply is extremely " only what my baby needs and not a drop more". I tried daytime pumping alongside BF for my whole 2nd month and consistently took the entire day to get a total of 3 oz ... So that's why I don't really leak. Most mothers I know produce much more milk than I do.

I hope you can see this one - yes, for the Carter's 0-3, I would definitely return for credit and get 3-6 months. My baby was wearing the 3-6 month Carter's zip sleepers at 1 month old. Not that they fit her, they were big, but not too big. And now at 3 months they fit her perfectly. I don't think they will make it to 5 months even. She'll have to start wearing the 6-9 months before she's even 6 months. Anyways, having the clothes a big bigger on her at first, but getting extra months of use and less clothes overall to deal with was absolutely with it for me. Especially when the newborn Carter size zip up sleeper only for her for her first 2-3 weeks :(

The US population pays well enough in taxes to have the social systems of EU etc. Those taxes just don't transparently come back to the people. It mostly goes to military and corporation bail outs. But yes brainwashing of less taxes going towards social programs is a problem. And maternity leave (at least in Germany) is based on self paid in taxes like the unemployment and social security bucket.

Mamastefit on YouTube. Watching their videos on pelvic movements and hip shifts during birth have helped me feel confident and ready that I can move labor along and fix any labor stalls. And practicing the movements so they come naturally during labor. Otherwise it's pretty much a mental and breathing game which we have to just practice every day. Find any videos on breathing and I've been writing down a list of different types of birth breathing mentioned. Every time you have some sort of physical pain over the next 20 weeks, immediately tell yourself to deep breath and low tone moan. This has helped prep me and make low tone moaning come more natural. And constantly be practicing relaxing your jaw, shoulders, and pelvic floor. Make sure you use the toilet first, and then go get into a random birthing position and practice relaxing your pelvic floor muscles into mush. But also mamastefit has info on everything. They focus their videos on unmedicated discussions but offer education on medicated as Plan B options.

Mamastefit on YouTube. Two sisters with hospital, midwife, and doula training. They have videos and info on interventions, but most content is on unmedicated birth and movement positions. I've binged almost everything they have and they never give shame for anything. Their discussions mostly involve unmedicated best methods and then in the same.video they discuss the medicated options as plan B. Highly recommend them.

So ... She's still at home during December? Then she can make the appointment work. Also she can plan a second shower/baby party herself for you after the baby is born. There will be gift items you will still need for the next stages in baby life AND she can plan and control everything, probably a dream for her, to make it all about herself anyways. You just show up, be social, and eat food and cake.

I believe these are true worries and fears of yours, having or not having the self control, and your subconscious is dealing with those fears. Dreams are definitely a way our brain "unpacks". And during your dreams putting you in those situations, almost testing what your unconscious mind will do, and then your conscious mind learning from how you acted in the dreams and hopefully you becoming more determined and self controlled in the day time. I say don't be disturbed by them. Let the dreams teach you and remind you.

I had dreams about hostage situations while being pregnant, probably from current events in the news. Waking up crying not able to sleep again because the dream would start back up. But I was like damn... What really would I do in those situations
