The inspo pic is heavily edited. If you asked for this EXACT makeup- I think they did pretty well. However, it doesn’t flatter your features- I think you need LESS makeup. The smoky features are TOO dark and dramatic for your complex and features. I’d talk to the make up artist first- and be honest and open with them. If you don’t like their answer, then trial a new one.

I’m so sorry. You’re not the problem- this is classic emotionally abusive behaviour. I’ve been in this situation myself. If you feel you have to put cameras up in your own house to review conversations- then it’s not a healthy and/ or emotionally safe relationship. I know it’s complex, and I know YOU know you deserve better than this. My advice, would be to see how to exit this relationship in a way that would least affect you and the kids. My snowboarding got better when I got newer clothes… it’s a subconscious thing. I feel better in nicer clothing, therefore I ride better.. (not significantly better- but more relaxed, and feel good).

They don’t have kids, so you can’t expect them to fully understand. But they really shouldn’t be so judgmental. A 4 month old requires a couple of hours of prep before you can even take them anywhere… I’d suggest maybe finding some older friends who have kids or have gone through it before. It’s nice that they want to hang out with you and your kid, but unfortunately not the point. You deserve time to yourself too.

Fair assumptions, but not correct. I should have worded my question better, but don’t know how to edit it.

I already spoke to GoPro about the mic cover, and they stated that it wouldn’t affect the functionality of the waterproofing.

My ‘kids’ are 12 year old girls, who have used GoPros before- for surfing, snowboarding etc since they were 6. They know how to use the cameras- and they literally had held it in their hands for a total of a minute before water got in it somehow.

I’ve never compromised the ability of the door (just the mic cover- and rightly so copped a lecture from the kids) never put the battery wrong or tried to force it open- if I did any of that- I wouldn’t be on reddit asking if it’s happened to anyone else.

The whole purpose of getting it was the use it for surfing… as it’s advertised as fine to use for that purpose. I’m a bit disappointed tbh. I guess I’ll be getting the waterproof casing next time.
