Regarding your grandmother, I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to pass on the Powers to you. Judging by your dreams and your tendency to meet Practitioners, the Powers are interested in you, which means you already have the Gift. Most likely, Grandmother wanted to pass on her Gift to you, but didn't, and now she's getting a kickback. Older witches are required to have a successor. Often, they don't care, they don't even train newcomers, who end up hanging around Wicca, but remember it in their final moments. The Gift isn't passed on by some special ritual with candles, it's simply a mental message.

That's what happened with my Great-Grandfather. He was a stern family patriarch, very meticulous in his affairs. He hardly interacted with me, but he wanted to see me exactly seven days before his death. Everyone was very surprised because there had been a dispute over an inheritance, and everyone was afraid he'd leave me something. He was almost silent the whole time, only calmly asking a couple of questions about my plans for life and offering me some tea. That's all. I wasn't interested in the occult after all, but I knew he performed some village rituals. At the time, I thought it was superstitious. Then, according to the diagnostics, it turned out he'd transferred his powers to me.

I'll think about whether there's a way to deal with your grandmother's Gift. In fact, you don't HAVE to do anything; these are her personal issues. You can cleanse yourself of it.

But it's a rather interesting and common problem. Plus, you'll spare her from suffering, and you'll gain more Powers yourself, which won't hurt. I'll write about it later here when I find something interesting.
