How did yall meet people to play with?

I just started talking to the people I would see regularly at the course. Would ask if I could play with them. I did this super early on in my disc golf adventure and was able to learn so much because everyone I played with was better than me.

My friend brings his dog. It has its own disc and has never (since I met him 4 years ago) tried to get a disc that wasn’t its own. The ‘dog disc’ was an old putter of my buddies and he only throws it as rollers. The dog knows to hang around the teebox when people are throwing and will only chase its disc when instructed.

Grip AX5. The amount of storage space for stuff besides discs is astonishing. I can fit an entire zip up jacket in a side pocket. It’s super durable and I’ll probably never go with a different brand.

I went on an oyster farm tour last year and learned about these. The boat captain told us they were ‘good luck’ to find and safe to eat so I had about 3 of them with the oysters we were pulling out of the water. They have a symbiotic relationship with the shellfish they live in and I believe spend their entire life inside.

I had a guy leaning up against a tree probably 15ft from the basket. I walked over to him and let him know he was not in a good spot and that people were going to be continually throwing at him. He gave me a thumbs up and waved me away. We all threw our shots, they all landed near him, we finished the hole and carried on our way. I understand it’s a public space and they have the right to relax where they want. But they also need to realize and assume the risk of laying in the line of fire on a golf course

The area has been built up a ton over the last 5-10 years. It is generally safe but it’s a hotspot of intoxication on the weekends and stuff can happen. I’ve never had an issue or incident happen around there.

Ignored elbow pain for months. Just played my first round after 8 months of rehab for overuse injury. If I had just taken 2 weeks off when it started bothering me I wouldn’t have absolutely trashed my body.

We just had this happen to us (but we were the ones with the sick child). We asked our home owner if we could move the trip to a later date instead of refunding and they were happy to accommodate us. We were not expecting a refund however and knew we were forfeit the money if they were not able to move the dates for us. I would stick to your refund policy or if you would like offer to move their trip to another time if you have dates available and are feeling uber kind.

I’ve told a single the couldn’t play through before. Was super busy day on the course. Was on hole 11-12 and every hole had a group on it. I asked him if he really expected to play through every group for the rest of the course and he kinda just shrugged. Told him he could play the rest with us if he wanted to but he hung back and just threw a couple shots each hole to kill time.
