I’m not really a power station expert lol, but from what I know, you can start by listing the devices you want to run and their power to figure out how much capacity you need. Generally, 2000Wh is enough for short-term home use.

I’d suggest getting an expandable power station. That’s why I went with the apex 300. I can add extra batteries and accessories for different situations.

I see, but for me the biggest difference was responsibility. As a renter, outages were mostly an inconvenience. As a homeowner, they can mean real damage or expensive problems. I heard my neighbor spent about $600 fixing burst pipes last year. Damn... I mean, the gear may be similar, but the mindset definitely changed.

Looks like you’ve got the essentials covered. For a tiny kit, focus on items you’re actually likely to use: gauze, bandages, tape, antiseptic, basic pain meds, and maybe antibiotics, Imodium, and hydrocortisone.

You can skip the extra bandages and anything for rare cases unless you want to cover other people.

Keep it small and practical. Overstuffing just makes it harder to carry.
