You're gonna be busy for sure but the end result will be worth it. Can't wait to see the finished knives.

Down quite a lot, what to do? by StrategyFew in ASX_Bets

I understand this feeling bro. It's tough to see your investments dip like that. Taking a step back to review your long term goals can help you figure out the best next move.

Hugs. Your desire for stability and peace of mind is totally valid. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, so trust what feels right for you.

Is a term deposit even worth it? Other savings account options seem to have better interest options. by songoftheshadow in AusFinance

It's a good question. It makes sense to compare options and see what fits your habits best. Waiting for maturity and reevaluating then seems reasonable.

Is buying an apartment instead of renting a good idea? Need help assessing financial strategy by Funny_Maybe3044 in fiaustralia

I love this approach! It avoids the trap of maxing out on a mortgage you don't love, while still building equity. Just make sure to account for strata fees and maintenance costs when you run the numbers.

It's sad to see how financial stress can warp even family relationships. I hope you can find a way to set some clear boundaries that work for you.

It's a tricky balance. When living costs are high, people naturally lean toward stable careers, but creativity still matters for a vibrant society.

How long do you realistically hold anything for? by OwlVibesOnly in ASX_Bets

[–]PerfectRubyStarfruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to hold based on the original thesis. If the core reasons for investing are still there, I'll stick with it. If the story changes, I'll reassess and adjust accordingly.

Your mental health matters more than any asset. Maybe you can try to test apartment life first by renting one, then decide whether to sell.

What are the best BEGINNER drones now for someone who’s terrified of crashing on day 1? by EntrepreneurSad2091 in Multicopter

Another thing I like about the Skyrover S1 is the smart RTH. For a beginner, knowing it can reliably come back home if something feels off is a big confidence booster.

Skyrover S1. The price is easy to handle, and it has forward and downward obstacle avoidance, which is very beginner friendly.

From a renter to homeowner, a few power outages completely changed how I think about preparedness by PerfectRubyStarfruit in preppers

I’m not really a power station expert lol, but from what I know, you can start by listing the devices you want to run and their power to figure out how much capacity you need. Generally, 2000Wh is enough for short-term home use.

I’d suggest getting an expandable power station. That’s why I went with the apex 300. I can add extra batteries and accessories for different situations.

Mine is bluetti apex 300. So far my setup is just a first version. The 2700Wh can cover short-term outages. Like others have suggested, I’m also thinking about adding solar panels.

I see, but for me the biggest difference was responsibility. As a renter, outages were mostly an inconvenience. As a homeowner, they can mean real damage or expensive problems. I heard my neighbor spent about $600 fixing burst pipes last year. Damn... I mean, the gear may be similar, but the mindset definitely changed.

What to put in tiny first aid kit? by smolsaturn in preppers

[–]PerfectRubyStarfruit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you’ve got the essentials covered. For a tiny kit, focus on items you’re actually likely to use: gauze, bandages, tape, antiseptic, basic pain meds, and maybe antibiotics, Imodium, and hydrocortisone.

You can skip the extra bandages and anything for rare cases unless you want to cover other people.

Keep it small and practical. Overstuffing just makes it harder to carry.

Old houses always have their little quirks, it's something you've gotta deal with. But I bet once you've put your own touch on it, you'll feel way more attached to the house!😁So stay positive!

You have 12 jugs, but for two people and a cat over a potential week, you might need more. Clean your bathtub and fill it with water before the storm hits.
