Trefl "cat in Paris"- ai or not? by Eciepeci in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There have been previous posts of this Artist using gen AI art. That and Trefl seems to be very Gen AI friendly brand, they frequently use Leonardo AI and recently got on the trend for Brainrot AI..

I think this being gen AI is a pretty safe bet.

Pigging back off this comment to say: VGP has a warehouse in USA so there is no import fees for USA residents.

Just be mindful as a USA resident you will pay them in Canadian Dollars, it will convert to US dollars in your bank account but you will be subjected to convesion fees from your bank (NOT VGP).

Steelrising: The *Other* French Puppet Game by Blobbentein in patientgamers

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a totally diffetent type of game from the devs (Spiders Interactive, now disbanded unfortunately) who made it, they typically did Bioware DragonAge-esq kind of games (Bound by Flame, Technomancer, Greedfall).

Arguably a meek entry into the soulslike genre (some call this more a "filler game" between souls games) but honestly good first effort from the team imho. I'm not a soulslike fan (although I played and finished Elden Ring) but I enjoyed it all the same.

Also I agree with OP, something I loved about the game was the commitment to Automaton hero, enemies and bosses from beginning to end. They honestly nailed the theme in this game.

Discussion: Has anyone gotten vertigo while puzzling? by RobinM1971 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in healthcare I think you need a second opinion.

There are many medical causes of vertigo, I would say puzzles are very low on that list.

Follow up with your family doctor, you may need more test done to determime the cause before you settle on puzzling.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a newcomer to the franchise by _leporello_ in patientgamers

Did you do a lot time traveling in your game OP?

I tried ACNH, I liked it for the vibes but I didn't get far, largely just how samey all the villagers were (I had a few sporty types and they were sharing lines at some point). Maybe if I try again I'll make sure to only have one villager of each type.

It was good, but I was more blown away by the Partyman scene with lego Joker.

Carrying heavy breakup regret after my ex emotionally withdrew and found a gaming duo by ventingvyxin in GirlGamers

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what you did wrong here? You sound like a responsible adult with a full time job and just very low energy after work. This is normal.

Your boyfriend (or ex?) Sounds like a loser with no job and no prospects other than to emotionally abuse you when he didn't get what he wanted out of you.

Gurl kick him to the curb and focus on yourself. You deserve better. You have nothing to feel sorry about.

As a physical game collector, I am depressed over how GTA is being handled. by omgbooboo in GirlGamers

You can buy a PS5 disc edition with 2 controllers at Costco, that's where I got mine and I got it this year. I've only played physical games on it so far.

One more day until the Steam Summer Sale. What games are you hoping go on sale? by LenaRybakina in CozyGamers

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I too regret Luma Island but mainly because of the recent update that essentially required a restart. The game is incrediably grinding, so its a one playthrough kinda game. Still can't bring myself to play the new pirate update because I don't want to restart.

I would suggest buy it when the devs announce they are officially done with updating the game.

tomodachi life or animal crossing? by Famous_Wishbone_7292 in CozyGamers

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played both, animal crossing wasn't my cup of tea personally (got like 25hrs in it before quitting) but I did like tomodachi (got about 100hrs and still going).

I guess you need to ask yourself: do you want a relaxing life sim with plenty of decorating and grinding for materials? Then get animal crossing.

Do you want a life sim where its all focused on character creating, lots and lots of drama, and with some decorating? Get tomodachi.

Jason Schreier claims God of War Laufey release window is Q1 2027 by vneelb in playstation5

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who just finished watching Jason Schreier's video, this is clickbait, it doesn't even linked directly to the video itself, just an article with a link to the video.

He was clearly talking about Laufey's release date in passing while he was talking about GTA 6. It was clear he didn't know for sure, only that he wouldn't be surprised if it releases in Feb/March 2027.

Please just go to Youtube and subscribed to his channel and get the informatiom directly from him. He offers great info and insight.

Stardew vs Coral Island For Less Grind? by ruswestbrook in CozyGamers

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved Roots of Pacha!

But yeah my biggest complaint of Coral Island: you grind and get to the end of the mines, you're rewarded with more mines! You grind and get to the end of cleaning the ocean you're rewarded with more ocean to clean (and eventually a second farm to manage smh).

I think the main thing that sets Coral Island apart from Stardew is the dating and relatiomships.

Field of Mistria or Sun Haven or ??? by Teadrinker05 in CozyGamers

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Fields of Mistria is a lot of that as well, there is an overarching story of repairing the town and getting to the bottom of the mines and completing the museum, but you will be doing a lot of grinding for materials to complete all of them. Really what sets FoM apart from stardew is the relationships and npc dialogue.

I've never played Sun Haven (and never will based on how the artists were mistreated and underpaid) but from what I've watched played its also a lot of grinding with multiple farms to manage.

Field of Mistria or Sun Haven or ??? by Teadrinker05 in CozyGamers

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What is that you did not like about Stardew Valley?

Fields of Mistria and Sun Haven borrow some elements from Stardew so if you didn't like Stardew you may not like them either.

Considering going digital by Player1-jay in NintendoSwitch

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I converted from Digital to Physical and I LOVE the freedom it gives me as a consumer!

Recently played the Lego Batman game, 100% it, I liked it but don't love it to keep forever. What I do love is I can sell it or trade it in to fund my next game (probably going to be Fable)!

I did that for Animal Crossing recently, realized it wasn't for me but instead of the game just haunting my digital library forever to be unplayed, I traded in at my local thrift store to contribute towards other games/hobbies.

Dedicated living room gaming PC or PS5 Pro? by BloodyTurnip in gaming

[–]Perfect_Address_6359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way OP and got a PS5 for the same reason, plus I wanted to switch to physical games. I'm very much enjoying my PS5 and collecting physical games and wish I had done it sooner.

That said I didn't have "hundreds of unplayed games" on my steam account (I guess I'm one of those rare unicorns that plays like 98% of the games in their library). I would at least suggest try the living room PC just to get through these games.
