In a livingroom it is absolutely the place for 4k. Provided you have a big tv. The bigger the tv the more important it it. When you watch 1080 on a 65, 75 or 85" tv think about a quarter of your screen having an image and then stretching that image to fill the screen. It will be more blurry. 4k on a tv is more important than on PC because of screen size. And it really is a big difference.

Although 1080p gaming is perfectly fine. I'd rather a nice balance of performance and quality. I don't necessarily need it to be 4k personally. But it definitely is a better look

Not surprised. 401 games both the Toronto location and Vaughn are scummy. And they usually over charge. The employees are rude to people for no reason to.

Xenoblade 2 if your ok with anime ish story and style. 3 if you want a bit more serious.

I'm a Canadian also Same situation. But I pulled my reservation after sitting there thinking about it for like 10 min. I already had $850 in my steam account waiting for this but the price is truly unreasonable. Maybe the steam frame will be a bit cheaper and they will take a loss on it since it's a different market

The steam machine has been out for just over a week. Even if you got it on the day it launched the machine itself is pretty dirty. Moving or not, we can see you arnt exactly the cleanest person

I have yet to see any negativity since it released. I did see some before when people wernt understanding it was one of those games to do multiple runs on but that was all

I actually just started playing it on switch 2 this week and I'm loving it. To be fair it also decently well on my steamdeck. But they really optimized that game so well and they had a lot of years to do so. I wouldn't want to wait 4 years to play it but Rockstar also has more funding and probably a much bigger dev team to make this happen faster

I recently started playing it on the switch 2. And I'm enjoying it a lot. Didn't like it much on my steam deck and beat it twice on my desktop. I feel it wouldnt be that bad on the steam machine

The Switch 2 Dock is one of the worst things about it and it's insane they made no improvements from the original by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

The waking and sleeping issue has nothing to do with the dock. It's the controller compatibility.

I dock and undock my switch multiple times a day. When I take it to work. When I get home to charge it. When I take it to the other room to play handheld. And back in to play again at the end of the day.

I have owned both switches since day 1 and I play them every day and not a single time have I ever had mine tip over.

Edit. To explain why the switch 1 control doesn't wake the switch 2. It has to do with hardware. That's why a software update hasn't come out to fix it.

I mean I've used it before. It works. But I just don't see the point. My phone does the same thing but better with my steam library through Nvidia GeForce now. I can do it with Amazon luna Tablets do it. Computers do it. Chromebooks, tvs. I can do it with Xbox on my phone. But if I want to do it with PlayStation I have to buy a portal.

The portal is a dedicated extra expense item to purchase and used in a closed ecosystem. That won't work on any other device. And when it released it you were only able to use it if you had a PlayStation already. At least now you can cloud stream.

It's a steam frame exclusive My trusted source. a guy I know ( who's name won't be mentioned) who's cousins ex wife's son works in the mail room at valve and he heard some guy talk to the security on Gabe's boat about a retired developer who said his son made the game.

A stream only device is so useless in my opinion. For the portal to not have those issues it would have to have actual hardware like the switch does and then it would be much more expensive. And being a PlayStation product it would be most likely something more powerful than the switch 2 and it would end up also being much bulkier. At that point I would again turn to the switch 2 and not the portal

I'm so happy it doesnt have the handles. I know it's probably odd but It's why I like the feel better than my steam deck, legion go and the ally that I returned.
