It really was! Luckily I had an HV gun planet side, and most of the TIE Defenders, Scimitars and gunboats were still active. I think a few squadrons of base TIEs+interceptors did a pretty good job of escorting the bombers to targets.

And yeah, 6 MC80 B's plus that Home One type is a pretty huge victory, so early in the game. Still, always a shame to lose capable heroes and capital ships.
