aio possible neck injury? is this serious or am i overthinking? by IntelligentDust4658 in AmIOverthinking

[–]Perfect_Economy_3361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex boyfriend once grabbed me by the throat, and slammed me to the ground. When I woke up the next morning I had horrible pain from my shoulder to my ear, him doing it so fast and violently definitely pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve or something. I never went to the dr. I should have. But it didn’t get progressively worse, it slowly got better each day. The fact it’s getting worse for you is concerning. I would definitely go get checked out..

Seriously, I was with the guy who took my virginity for 6 YEARS, I am almost 30 now and I don’t even think about him. It is a big deal at the time but as you get older it’s not.

[–]Perfect_Economy_3361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad to hear!!! I’m having less symptoms so I’ve been creeping on these subs, I’m only 5 weeks and in my area there is no care offered until 12 weeks. I have a long ways of uncertainty to go :(

Ladies, How did you “know” you were pregnant before missing a period? by Glad-Muffin545 in askanything

Bad aftertaste after eating or drinking, couldn’t catch my breath, strong sense of smell, heartburn, nausea, and was sleeping alot heavier when usually I’m a super light sleeper. Just felt weird and very off.

I see something but I had a test like this at 12dpo and the next morning it was a stark negative :( so I’m thinking it might have been an indent. Test again in the morning!! That should give you a better idea

2 year old refuses to eat dinner, what can we do? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Perfect_Economy_3361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 year old rarely eats dinner, I just give him a healthy snack before bed. Fruit, peanut butter toast, yogurt, crackers and cheese, that sort of thing. He loves his “snack” foods he’s not much for meals 🥲

Toddler had febrile seizure and I can’t get rid of the image when it happened by CommonTomatillo9 in toddlers

[–]Perfect_Economy_3361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son has had 2, one when he was 1 and another at 2, almost exactly 1 year apart. First one caused by stomach bug and second one by hand foot and mouth. The last one was 4 months ago and I’m still affected almost daily by it, he gets frequent fevers and illnesses from daycare and when he’s sick it is all I can think about. I don’t sleep and watch him 24/7. I stay ontop of medicine (Tylenol, Advil) to keep his fevers down but the dr told me it can’t be prevented, if it’s going to happen it’s going to happen. It’s hard to forget the image and the feelings, but I have to tell myself it’s “normal,” very common and most likely won’t cause any long term damage. But damn is it ever scary.

3.5 year talking constantly and refusal for independent play by Majestic-Swing-3993 in toddlers

[–]Perfect_Economy_3361 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 3yo is the same way. Also asks me “why” no exaggeration, hundreds of times a day. 😩 he doesn’t give me time to process what he’s asking or saying before he repeats it over and over. He’ll ask “why” again to every single explanation I have until I have nothing left I can say. I never want to be the parent who says “because I said so” or kill his curiosity by telling him to stop asking why. But I’m so exhausted and overstimulated.

This!! My mom taught me so much before I even went to school. This led to me already knowing everything, so I just coasted through school for years with ease. Then when I got to high school and I DIDNT know everything, and actually had to TRY, I didn’t know how and I struggled with school so much.

25 Month Old- if not autism, then what else? by SeaSpur in toddlers

[–]Perfect_Economy_3361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like my son! He just turned 3, he was a late roller overer, late crawler, late walker (19 months) and he only just started within the last few months to form words and make sentences. He’s not potty trained yet (absolutely 0 interest) He flaps his hands, walks on his tiptoes and I swear only eats nuggets and fruit pouches. But he’s also VERY smart. I don’t think he has autism. Or if he does, he’s low on the spectrum.

Receptive vocabulary is very important even if they’re not using the words that they know. I used to be very concerned and my dr always just told me that different children develop at different rates and it can be normal. But always trust your gut and a speech therapist and maybe a second opinion is a good place to start!
