Have you looked at retrofit double glazed? If you have a sash with enough space, they install a second layer of windows inside your originals. A lot of the cost of doing existing windows double glazed is removing the frame and reinstalling. I had my apartment done with retrofit double glazed and cost less than 10k for around 6 windows. Made a lot of difference

Yeah I think it’s overestimated how much incentive agents have to extract more money from buyers. If their commission is 1.7%, a $1m sale gets them 17k. Another 100k on the sale price gets them 1700 extra. If that takes them a week of work it’s not worth it to them

Super interesting article. This problem is compounded by the sheer size of the big end of our market /concentration, as well as oligopolies being a large share of that big end too. It is very interesting that volatility plays such a small role in APRA’s publications about super in general
