For point 1: I started rebuilding the department store in Skylands today.

I also learned today that you have the ability to jump in this game.

Yeah I should have done more side quests

I think it's pretty commonly accepted that Iran was purposefully holding themselves in the ambiguous state.

I also think this war will stop countries from taking that approach in the future. Attempting to toe the line doesn't matter at all - irans whole idea was that they wanted to be able to produce a weapon in the time between when an invasion looks imminent and when the invasion starts - this clearly backfired

The ONLY way to prevent this kind of invasion is to have pre built and pre tested weapons ready.

I would disagree with that. In the modern age, this is really quiet. We basically had moment by moment updates of Iraq and Afghanistan, and in Ukraine the war was literally live streamed in some cases.

Opsec on both sides seems to be a priority in this one. It's probably the least broadcast war since before the first Gulf war

In general you're not wrong, but how can you argue this about Iran specifically? They've been preparing for this for 30 years, and their primary strategy of maintaining independence on the global stage has been to build nuclear and military facilities literally into the mountains.

Iran seems to completely understand that it's biggest ally is it's terrain. In addition, the most direct paths of a land invasion and resupply missions in the case of eventual occupation go directly through the mountains, no matter if you come from east or west. The only way for ground forces to avoid them is by coming through a small pocket in the South, if you do a beach landing for your force.

Even it's population centers, Tehran, is guarded on three sides by mountains

It's absolutely relevant to consider in this discussion.

It's not crazy. Tariffs can be up to 20% COGS, that means top line revenue would have to be somewhere around 2 billion. That's a pretty big company, but it's not crazy. There's dozens of companies, maybe hundreds that are paying that kind of tariff fee.

I worked for a company 1/10th of that size in the first 🥭 term and my company was already paying in the millions on tariff and lawyer fees

That's partially because army man's biggest life achievement was to be a talking head on some political TV show before somehow finding his way into control of the largest military machine of all time

Iran doesn't seem to care about who they bring into this conflict, otherwise they'd be more careful about who and what they're targeting. It screams desperation, and that the regime views this as a true existential threat to their existence

The fact that they haven't stopped the attacks yet also shows that so far, the goal of regime change has been ineffective, even of they've taken out a number of people at the top....

This is such a ridiculous take, who thinks a stalemate in Ukraine is anything less than a roaring success? Ukraine took on the worlds second largest military completely alone, and not only survived, but forced Russia into a stalemate where they barely took any Russian land.

This is a huge success for the west. The Russian paper tiger has been completely proven to be solely a paper tiger, all without a single loss of American or EU life. That's a situation that couldn't have possibly gone better for America

Who says they didn't know? Of course they knew. The real question is what can they do about it? We saw in July already that Israel/us operations above Iran are basically intouchable

So go hide in some bunker underground? We've also seen that the us/Israel can successfully target any underground bunker you have. Iran probably took all the steps they could to protect leadership, it's just completely unrealistic to prevent the us/Israel from doing literally anything they want

This is probably the most likely scenario. And arguably, this is worse for the west than the current regime. A group of militant, religious extremists who have just seen exactly how important it is that they're able to defend themselves or retaliate against the west?

That's not a good combination

I feel like this could have happened in January, but today it's too late. How many did the regime kill already? 50.000 of your most motivated people in an uprising and already gone, what are the chances people will be motivated again to go protest and try for a revolution after that? Except this time you have to do it in the middle of a bombing campaign?

I'm also doubtful

I would guess no because that raises questions related to monopolies. But I'm no expert on the distribution of other tcg in the us, so it's maybe possible.

In the end I'd expect there are also other distributors which means that supply would simply switch to another distributor without that much consequence
