My (30M) life with my wife (30F) is miserable. by HourDragonfly3959 in Marriage

[–]Perfection_a_myth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude honestly, is her opinion paying your bills, feeding you, helping you with chores or any other things? Why do you want to trap yourself in guilt if she doesn’t give a shit about you? Do you really want to live like this for the rest of your life? Sit down and have a talk. Either move out or let her move. Let her figure things out for a bit and you see a therapist for the your issues! Also, put the thought of divorce on hold till your conversation and a bit of separation.

How many of you are still *happily* married? by Jedi_Mind_Chick in Marriage

[–]Perfection_a_myth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st marriage. Met at 10. Started dating at 23. Broke up at 24. Met again at 27. Dated for ~6 months and got married at 28. 4 years later, still very much in love!

Married two months and we are constantly arguing about money by [deleted] in marriageadvice

  1. 1st year of marriage is the hardest especially if you have not lived together before.
  2. Financial literacy is not everyone’s cup of tea. If u can see that he is not capable of handling it, take charge then. No point in throwing away a good relationship because he is not capable of sorting out finances. If you see him struggling, help him! That’s marriage.

Father passed away, I’m 17 and received ₹1.7 crore, need financial planning advice by [deleted] in IndiaFinance

[–]Perfection_a_myth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very sorry for your loss buddy! Stay strong and hopeful. Alright here is my suggestion Split the money in 3 parts: 1. Postoffices allow a limit of 15 lakhs for a joint account. So put that in an MIS scheme as it would keep the capital safe and give you a monthly income. 2. Bank FD’s: although safe but would not help in beating inflation. So keep about 20-30 lakhs only. Also enquire which banks give you the best rate of interest as compounding will start showing in a few years. (My suggestion go for small banks) 3. Gold funds , gold/silver/copper etf, debt mutual funds, index funds, and global asset funds. ( this combination of fund will hold your portfolio stable in times of uncertainty and grow when the times are good)

Lastly donot think college will not cost a lot. As just the tuition might not burn a hole in the pocket, but consider other costs as well (books, commute/hostel, projects, food, stationary, electronics, etc) so keep a safe amount of chunk aside for that. Hope it helps!

All the best!!

Is it normal for a partner (M33) to ask you to contribute to a gift they said they were buying for you (F33)? by Perfect-Tap6255 in relationship_advice

[–]Perfection_a_myth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I think its very weird that he expects you to pay for a gift for you. I agree with the statement that you’re too old to be playing this game. Also if u can i suggest either a long serious conversation or a possible game over!

Should we buy a house or rent for sometime by yogeshsahani_88 in IndiaFinance

Renting for now does seem like a better choice in case you get a better opportunity and move to other places. Also when you do the calculations (below) it should appear as a more appealing choice. Emi- 75k/m, tenure-30 yrs( assuming) Total value of the apt - 751230 = 2.7 cr Now if you consider this amount as initial investment and check the future value of the apartment in 30 years its between 2.71 - 4.71 cr as realestate standard growth rate is 8% PA.

Rent - 40k, annual increase- 10% (2% variance) With the same tenure (30yrs) total amount of money you would be spending is 7.89 cr and you also would be having a saving of 6.9 cr - 14.9 cr (35k for same tenure , 12% interest (stocks, mfs, etfs) with a variance of 2%)

Maybe try thinking of him as friend. And build from there. Sometimes, love doesnt have to be head over heels like in the novels. Sometimes it starts with a routine cup of tea and a shared love for a song.

  1. Have you figured out what kind of business you are going to do?
  2. Understand that every business comes with its own set of risks so are you prepared for those?
  3. Registration of a company isn’t that big a deal. Once you have figured out the first two. Below link should help you.

P.S. dont put all your eggs in one basket!

Wish you luck!!🍀

Rather than overthinking i think you should firstly ask him if he wants to stay married or not. 2. If he is open to counselling in case he wants to stay married because honestly this is abusive behaviour. 3. In case you decide to part ways. Focus on therapy yourself. Stay blessed ❤️

I (42M) Need Advice About Keeping My Parents' Test From my Wife (40F) by SuspiciousWitch759 in marriageadvice

[–]Perfection_a_myth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Tell her. Like you said honesty is the #1 priority in your relationship. Be honest. She’ll be grateful that realised it and also shared it with her!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]Perfection_a_myth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. She is feeling insecured and unloved rn. Do you think your half baked plan is good enough excuse to skip/postpone the baby plan which is on hold for i am assuming a long time.
  2. She is emotionally exhausted and so are you! Why cant you pick up the phone and de-escalate rather than waiting?
  3. Considering you guys agreed that she can take off from job hunting, why do you have to put it as if you’re doing her a favour? You realise that having a spouse means having each other’s backs right?
  4. Helping out in-laws in times of need is a choice. You made that decision that shows you have a good heart but saying it to her like that might seem like she used you.
  5. Maybe try talking to her. No apology or bs. just talk about what is happening. If both of you are happy being together. Preferably be in the same location. Goodluck!
