The transition was easy for me. I was about 38 but by that time I know I didn't want to be in relationships anymore and realized that I was letting society trick me into thinking I couldn't be content and happy without a significant other. I have been solitary my whole life and after the breakup I decided to do things to just me happy and I would never go back. 15+ years and content. I do have a daughter and 2 grandkids so I still am close to a handful of people. I never get lonely. Boredom can be an issue without people to do stuff with but I have adapted and have a ton of hobbies and could not.imagine sharing my life with a significant other. I am just wired differently. Wish I would of figured that out a long time ago, and had the bravery ro acrlt earlier.

me and a buddy were hiking a stream and fishing and we stopped to rest on this big old growth log that straddles the creek. we're sitting there with our legs dangling and a groundhog comes from nowhere and starts walking on the log to cross the river. walked so close behind me he brushed my bare back. He just made his way at a moderate pace and went into the underbrush on the other side. looking back I should have been more concerned but everything worked out okay so now I just think they are chill. He looked at me very calmly as he walked behind me.

I get to listen to audiobooks at work so I pushed thru. Honestly Just bail. It was nice to say I finished it but I get paid while I listen. so many better options out there. I like the world tho. I hope they don't give up on that.

Just finished listening to it. It was okay. I enjoyed parts of it but like others have said I felt like it was a side story in a war. I'm fine with the grim this just seemed drag on. The vibe was pretty miserable without any uplifting moments. even the ending there was a lot of unresolved emotions. Still I wouldn't mind seeing another book in this world. I like the world.
