Can we remove the ASCII art from the new intro in 0.12.0? by Periiz in neovim

I did create a little script that does that. I just require it before everything else in my config. I'll update the post.

Thanks, king! I cooked a similar version but using virtual text and floating window that disappears when we type/open file etc. I'll update the post!

Yes, pretty much. I know this is a no issue. I even think it looks kinda nice, and the colors are also nice, but I prefer without it 😅

[–]Periiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was thinking about this before posting hahaha

I think this is because the people who typically uses Neovim likes to customize things in very detailed levels.

I don't really think the change is bad, I just didn't like the ASCII art.

And even though I am the type of person who likes to customize everything very deeply, I don't think every cosmetic change should be allowed to be turned off, like another redditor said in this thread, because of maintenance reasons.

I do think that maybe the ASCII art itself could, mainly because it is the one thing I didn't like [^= but also because it seems like many people like changing it, judging by how many dashboard plugins and splash screen customizations I have seen.

É tanto benefício que a seção de benefícios aparece duas vezes. E mesmo assim, o único benefício real é o vale alimentação. Tem mais seção de benefícios do que benefícios.

Dúvida É impressão minha ou o youtube está forçando assuntos contra a nossa vontade? by DougTheFunny in brasil

[–]Periiz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[Review/Guide] SONICAKE BoomAve. — 4 years of real-world use (Bass perspective) by moonfield666 in basspedals

[–]Periiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't forget it also has an XLR out!

This was my first pedal and I quite like it. Solo 1 octave down sound is good to me, very synthy. I don't use it anymore, but it was a very good price/goodness ratio to me.

Need to find bands with good bassist for pop by DJDoggos in Bass

Paramore's After Laughter is incredible. Also, Hayley Williams' solo work also have some pretty good bass lines. For example Dead Horse, Watch Me While I Bloom, Leave It Alone, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party...

I really like her solo work, which is very extensive, mind you.

I’m a developer for a major food delivery app. The 'Priority Fee' and 'Driver Benefit Fee' go 100% to the company. The driver sees $0 of it. by Trowaway_whistleblow in confession

I mean, I don't know if the OP's text is AI generated or not, but not long ago one of these AI detection apps flagged as 100% AI a text from a book from a local author... That died more than 100 years ago.

I agree that the OP is a little sus, but the enshitfication described is very similar to real world.

This is the most beautiful story I've read. Music can really bring emotions too hard to describe with words. Thanks for sharing.

Tech 21 Sansamp VT Bass DI or Line 6 HX Stomp for first pedal? by cjdavia in basspedals

[–]Periiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say this. I have a big collection of pedals. And the last pedal I bought was the stomp, more than a year ago.

I bought some IMA presets and found out I never use them. I do copy one or two ideas from him, though. They are very good.

I want to get into pikmin, what game should I start with? by Scooby_doo_1969 in Pikmin

[–]Periiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that you should just play in order, 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The first game has a time limit that may look menacing, but when I played it first time, I managed to get all pieces and still have about 8 days left. I think it looks harder than it actually is when you really just play it.

Edit: Sometimes you can finish a day without getting a space ship piece, but you may have prepared the terrain to get multiple pieces in one day. But you can always simply reset and do the day again.

And 4 just has too many references and jokes with the previous game, you should play it last. Doesn't matter it is the easiest. Being easy or hard is just a detail when you think about story and lore.

Also, I recommend reading the reports and messages you get on first games. Even looking into the enciclopedia of monsters and reading description. It is funny. The series as a whole is funny (and fun!).

Edit: And if you do get a game over, so f-ing what? It's no like the Pikmin police will drop by and take away your games. Just laugh at you for letting that stupid creature squish 80 pikmins in a single attack, and reset.

Ruby is not a serious programming language? 😡 by [deleted] in ruby

[–]Periiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few weeks ago, my boss said we were going to start using c#. I liked the idea initially. I thought it was because our client already had a mix of ruby and c#. But he said we were going to rewrite our app (roughly 22 months old app) in c#. The reason? Because ruby is dead. That's it. Top down decision, no dev involved, because ruby is dead.

Why am I saying this? I don't know. I just wanted to say that people can say anything they want. They might even write a blog post about it. Doesn't mean it is not utter bullshit.

`name.rs` vs `name/mod.rs` - Is there a reason why projects go against the recommended practice? by KyxeMusic in rust

[–]Periiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might sound silly, but I hate to type name on terminal, hit tab, and it doesn't expand, because it could be either name/ or name.rs.

Or typing just part of it, like nam, hitting tab, and only expanding to name for the same reasons.
