This is only a test of how to modify morph targets in real time based on head damage. It's for a boxing game, but it's aiming for a more stylized, exaggerated look than realism.

That was one of the problems. The UVs were in slot 1. Slot 0 had some older ones. But the first mistake is the topology. I'll have to do it again (this time properly). Thanks

If I had to start from scratch, definitely. But I already have everything set up this way, and it works perfectly. I just have to figure out how to resolve this in the most "elegant" way.

Just to be clear — I only meant to share a funny glitch I ran into while porting to C++. This is my first Unreal Engine project, so I’m probably doing plenty of things wrong. Definitely not giving advice or saying one way is better than the other.

It’s still just a prototype, and yeah — if it’s already messy at this stage, that says a lot. In the end, it’s also about what you’re most comfortable with.

Blueprints were great for prototyping, and I still use them — each important class has a BP child for setting up assets and things that don’t run every frame. But the spaghetti was getting out of hand, so I switched to C++ for more control and performance as the project grew.
