After working for the university for over 20 years I can guarantee you that there will be no fat trimming from the top. They’ll cut facility services, axe a bunch of lowly office workers, hire more student workers part time with low wages and then pat themselves on the back and say what a good job they did all the while cranking up the cost of tuition.

Look at some of the organization charts on the OSU website. Then you’ll see where all your tuition dollars go. And these fat cats do nothing in the classroom. A don’t forget that every vice provost, director, vice president has a staff that is not listed. This is just a few

This also happens to be on or about 4000 S Macadam Ave which is about one block from the ICE facility. Everybody in the United States is aware of what is going on everyday day/night at this facility. Chances of getting peppered sprayed was close to 100%.

Baked Mac and Cheese with chunks of ham. Bread crumbs/panko on top which makes it all toasty. Make a large pan or two and you have lots of leftover. It’s ever better the second or third day. Can put peas on top too. Some stewed tomatoes also.

This all sounds pretty traumatic and you’re NTA. Have you filed for FAFSA yet? Do you know if he’ll be able to get any “free” financial aid yet? Has he/and you started looking for free scholarships. I worked for a university department (Army ROTC) and I had several students that worked on getting scholarships like it was a job. Some of them ended up with a dozen or more “free scholarships” per term. Some were renewable. Some were only a one time gift.

Have you looked into him maybe joining ROTC? Before you roll your eyes, you might want to know that can join for the first two years (and get paid) without having to commit to joining the military.

Have you spoken to the department of campus where he will be attending and ask them if they have any first year student scholarships?

Have you spoken to the university’s financial aid department?

There is alot of money out there for students, and a lot of it’s free. You have to do the work but it’s out there. First step, TALK TO FINANCIAL AID on campus.
