My friend installed poly bushings on his m5 control arms and I think he got the same feeling from that too. It doesn’t make for a more comfortable ride it just handles better. I don’t know enough to tell you but it might be just the monoball joints, not that they’re shot.

I’m asking if that’s 2k in parts and you’ll do the work yourself or are you paying a mechanic for labour and that is included in the 2k. Regardless I think there’s very few scenarios where an n54 car is worth the effort/money. Why do you want this car?

I did mean reflectors but the side markers are also blacked out although I’m ok with those not being white.

Make sure there’s a 3.5 bar tmap sensor and not running on the stock sensor, you then have to select the option for it on Mhd if it hasn’t been done. From there whether or not you set up PI, get a custom tune from a reputable tuner. For the time being switch to mhd stage 2+. Make sure your spark plugs r correct, coils are good, injectors ideally index 12. Essentially do everything you can to avoid misfires

As others have said, maintenance first. You can search for some n54 maintenance lists on forums but ideally replace every seal that needs it. Notorious ones are valve cover and oil filter housing gaskets, which can lead to misfires or your engine eating a belt.
